I'm Brazilian and a fellow scientist, and while I'm not deeply into economics or the economic history of my country, I get there indirectly from my interest in the evolution of the information ecosystem here, which you also seem to be interested in, and with which I work in a context of health care and technology.

As WMF narrows it's focus, the Fellowships Program will be winding down in early 2013. We'll be investigating other avenues for supporting individuals via grant-making, and meanwhile, Sarah, Steven, and Tanvir will be continuing their projects for several more months, so stay tuned to the News! - Dispute Resolution Project — A Request for Comment closed in favor of a universal DR request wizard and implementation is in development on English Wikipedia.
