edithi Katerenka. I just received an email informing that s1 has created an account. There was given some IP address which is not mine. S1 put my e-mail and created a wiki-page with some info. Can you please delete it? Cheers, Tom.
Oh, i forgot to give the address: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Luigiluib
- Hmm. I'm not sure I understand what you are asking. The userpage in question was created by the user that it is associated with. Could you please elaborate? Thanks, – Katerenka (talk • contribs) 01:33, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
hi, the problem is that s1 using my email and user-name that I often use created an account on meta.wiki. I cannot delete these info already written nor the whole site. Please, if you could delete the account. Thanks in advance.
- Hi again, sorry for the delayed response. I'm not sure what "S1" is, but I don't see how he could be using your email. Additionally, if you had an SUL claim to the username the software would have stopped him from creating it. And finally, MediaWiki software does not allow for account deletion. Sorry, – Katerenka (talk • contribs) 21:07, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
Hello Katerenka. Could you avoid using vote templates in the discussion at Talk:Oversight#Update for username hiding? Replacing with a regular "I support this proposal" is fine, but vote templates encourage people to vote instead of discussing (with the usual Opposes without explanation, instead of raising concerns). Thanks. :) —Pathoschild 21:18:26, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
- Sounds good, apologies. :) – Katerenka (talk • contribs) 05:04, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
Mentorship
editI write because your name is listed at en:Wikipedia:WikiProject User Rehab. I wonder if you might consider joining others in sharing the burden of a mentorship committee for me?
Perhaps you might consider taking a look at an old edit at en:Wikipedia:Mentorship#Unintended consequences? In the search for a mentor deemed acceptable by en:ArbCom, I cite this as a plausible context for discussing what I have in mind.
Please contact me by e-mail or on my talk page. -- en:User:Tenmei/ Tenmei 07:03, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
- Regretfully, I'm no longer active on the English Wikipedia and thusly I will not be able to help you. Apologies. ···Lauryn 02:25, 30 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you for your time and consideration. As a gesture of appreciation, may I share a rhetorical question from the Analects of Confucius: "Is it not pleasant to learn with a constant perseverance and application?" --Tenmei 04:43, 30 January 2010 (UTC)
- Sure thing, I'm sorry that it didn't work out. ···Lauryn 21:24, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

Vandalism
editYour talk page on en.wiki was vandalized and I thought, in case you dont check there anymore, that you should know: [1] The IP has no other edits except for this one immediately before. ♥Soap♥ 11:53, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm, strange. Not sure what I could have done to upset him. Attacking me seems to be the popular thing at times, though. I appreciate the note and the revert. :) Lauryn Ashby (d) 20:55, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

Queering Wikipedia 2023 conference
editWikimedia LGBT+ User Group and the organizing team of Queering Wikipedia is delivering the Queering Wikipedia 2023 Conference for LGBT+ Wikimedians and allies, as a hybrid, bilingual and trans-local event. It is online on 12, 14 and 17 May, the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia #IDAHOBIT, with offline events at around 10 locations on 5 continents in the 5-day span as QW2023 Nodes.
The online program is delivered as a series of keynotes, panels, presentations, workshops, lightning talks and creative interventions, starting on Friday noon (UTC) with the first keynote of Dr Nishant Shah entitled: I spy, with my little AI — Wikiway as a means to disrupt the ‘dirty queer’ impulses of emergent AI platforms. Second keynote is at Sunday’s closure by Esra’a Al Shafei, Wikimedia Foundation’s Board of Trustees vice chair, entitled: Digital Public Spaces for Queer Communities.
If you have been an active Wikimedian or enthusiast, supporting LGBT+ activities or if you identify as part of the larger LGBT+ community and allies in Wikimedia, please join us in advancing this thematic work. We encourage you to join online or in person with fellow Wikimedians if it is easy and safe to do so. Our working languages are English and Spanish, with possible local language support at sites of Nodes.
Registration for the online event is free and is open until Wednesday May 10th at 18:00 UTC, for safety protocol. Late event registration approval and event access denial is at the discretion of organizers.
More information, and registration details, may be found on Meta at QW2023
