Uphill battle? edit
It seems you have an uphill battle. I personally agree with your cause. I am wondering if there is a way to include the Wikipedia name unofficially. If you only have two users you may be able to do it with a wording change such as: 'We have the support of users of Wikipedia' type thing. Just my thoughts though. WMF has many projects and wikipedia is the most well known. I am active there as well as commons and this meta-wiki a little. I have come accross many users in wp and commons that seem to be on petty power trips that result in endless arguments that just waste time and don't add much to the projects. It seems some may carry that to this project since a link was posted in other projects. They seem like a bunch of children that chase each other around and mess up each others' input to the projects. Most decisions are made by consensus and they go on for months without reaching it. Deadlines are ignored, friends are asked to help add to sides, admin are abused and abusive, etc, etc.--Canoe1967 (talk) 20:41, 2 July 2012 (UTC)
Although the proposal is currently dead, I'm just stopping by to let you know that I strongly support your cause and am willing to help in creating a more viable proposal to present to the Wikimedia community so that the league will be able to find a way to bring the Foundation into the League in some form. Beyond addressing concerns about organization, you need to be able to convey to Wikimedians why this is not for politics, profit, or Google (not sure how that came up). Let me know what you think.
