Traduction anglais français

edit

Bonjour.

IRC cloak request

edit

Hello. You recently applied for a Wikimedia IRC cloak, but it looks like you forgot to register your nickname first. Could you please log on to IRC and do:

/msg NickServ REGISTER <password> <email>

where <password> is a password of your choice and <email> is your e-mail address? After you do that, please follow the instructions that are e-mailed to you to confirm your e-mail address. When you're done with that, I just need you to confirm your cloak request:

/msg MemoServ send wmfgc IRC cloak request

After you finish all of that, I'd be happy to get you a cloak. --FiliP ██ 23:22, 9 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello Ebe123. I noticed that you moved to oppose on Quadell's candidacy. But you underlined your support (<u> tag) instead of striking it (<s> tag). I prefer to left a message here, in the case where it would be your will. Best regards, -- Quentinv57 (talk) 20:58, 2 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Your blocking of User:Оця Лукин

edit

Hello, Please reverse your blocking of this user. He was blocked for being a sockpuppet of another user posting from the same IP address (78.36.18.186). This is due to both users being behind the same router, however - they are separate physical individuals, currently participating in the following course: http://saami.uni-freiburg.de/ksdp/EN/seminar11.html. We are introducing members of the small Kildin Sami community (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kildin_Sami_language) to the Kildin Sami test in the Incubator. Everyone participating in this course will by default have the same IP address, as we're all in the same room.

All the best,

Jeremy Bradley, University of Vienna

Michael Rießler, University of Freiburg

Fine, I will unblock, but if someone is abusing the privilege, I will be blocking the specific user. ~~EBE123~~ talkContribs 21:37, 20 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Re: Creating of userright

No, I can't: I'm not able to, because I don't own anything, and I don't see any reason to. The only drama I see is created by yourself (oh well, and Ottava, obviously). Cheers, Nemo 10:43, 13 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

I havn't saw anything big, the only thing (with a bad eye) was that double negatives are not nessesary, and arn't shown that much is french literature (as far as I read). ~~EBE123~~ talkContribs 23:47, 18 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Wikimedia Medicine

edit

Yes what is being proposed is not a NEW wiki but just an NGO from which people can form collaborations with other organizations to improve medical content under open source licenses (primarily WMF projects). There are already a number of exclusively medicine Wikis as per http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Online_medical_wiki_encyclopedias None have generated significant readership or editorship. And some are more or less mirrors of Wikipedia. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 22:25, 16 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Fundraising translation feedback

edit

Hey Ebe123,

I wanted to ask for your help. As you may be aware we have been running banners on many language wikis. We have a lot of new content this year and I really want to conduct a thorough review of our translations. This is a combination of feedback from the community, readers, donors as well as those with professional translator experience. This will help us ensure the highest quality of translations used in our messaging.

To help us out with this I wonder if you would be willing to give us feedback in french using This Link

Simply follow the simple instructions on that page and if you have any questions feel free to contact me on my talk page.

Many Thanks

Help test better mass message delivery

edit

Hi. You're being contacted as you've previously used global message delivery (or its English Wikipedia counterpart). It doesn't feel so great to be spammed, does it? ;-)

For the past few months, Legoktm has built a replacement to the current message delivery system called MassMessage. MassMessage uses a proper user interface form (no more editing a /Spam subpage), works faster (it can complete a large delivery in minutes), and no longer requires being on an access list (any local administrator can use it). In addition, many tiny annoyances with the old system have been addressed. It's a real improvement! :-)

You can test out MassMessage here: testwiki:Special:MassMessage. The biggest difference you'll likely notice is that any input list must use a new {{#target:}} parser function. For example, {{#target:User talk:Jimbo Wales}} or {{#target:User talk:Jimbo Wales|test2.wikipedia.org}}. For detailed instructions, check out mw:Help:Extension:MassMessage.

If you find any bugs, have suggestions for additional features, or have any other feedback, drop a note at m:Talk:MassMessage. Thanks for spamming! --MZMcBride (talk) 05:24, 1 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Superprotect letter update

edit

Hi Ebe123,

Along with more hundreds of others, you recently signed Letter to Wikimedia Foundation: Superprotect and Media Viewer, which I wrote.

Today, we have 562 signatures here on Meta, and another 61 on change.org, for a total of 623 signatures. Volunteers have fully translated it into 16 languages, and begun other translations. This far exceeds my most optimistic hopes about how many might sign the letter -- I would have been pleased to gain 200 siguatures -- but new signatures continue to come.

I believe this is a significant moment for Wikimedia and Wikipedia. Very rarely have I seen large numbers of people from multiple language and project communities speak with a unified voice. As I understand it, we are unified in a desire for the Wikimedia Foundation to respect -- in actions, in addition to words -- the will of the community who has built the Wikimedia projects for the benefit of all humanity. I strongly believe it is possible to innovate and improve our software tools, together with the Wikimedia Foundation. But substantial changes are necessary in order for us to work together smoothly and productively. I believe this letter identifies important actions that will strongly support those changes.

Have you been discussing these issues in your local community? If so, I think we would all appreciate an update (on the letter's talk page) about how those discussions have gone, and what people are saying. If not, please be bold and start a discussoin on your Village Pump, or in any other venue your project uses -- and then leave a summary of what kind of response you get on the letter's talk page.

Finally, what do you think is the right time, and the right way, to deliver this letter? We could set a date, or establish a threshold of signatures. I have some ideas, but am open to suggestions.

Thank you for your engagement on this issue, and please stay in touch. -Pete F (talk) 18:47, 26 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
