Hi DejaVu! I just wanted to thank you deeply for your previous translations of Tech/News editions into Persian. It's much appreciated! I also wanted to recommend against using the translation system for British English - En-gb and En-ca are primarily in the system to enable software-problem diagnosis, and content pages should not generally be "translated" into those 2 languages. (mostly because: When it is done, English takes up even more space in the "languages" bar at the top.). Hope that makes sense, and thanks again! Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 20:08, 17 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi everyone, two quick but important updates:
Timeline for nominations and voting
- Nominations are extended until 12 January 2018.
- Candidates will be lightly vetted by the Founding Members (excluding those who are candidates) to help form a well-functioning committee.
- Vetting will happen from the 13th up to 21 January 2018.
- Voting will begin on the 22nd of January and end on the 4th of February.
- To be able to vote, editors must have joined the usergroup before the 21st of January.
- Results will be announced on or before the 10th of February.

We had many great candidates with awesome skillsets and experience, unfortunately not everyone could make it to the final eight. New Wikipedia Library collections and design update (August 2021)
Hello Wikimedians!
The Wikipedia Library is pleased to announce the addition of new collections, alongside a new interface design. New collections include:
- Cabells – Scholarly and predatory journal database
- Taaghche - Persian language e-books
- Merkur, Musik & Ästhetik, and Psychologie, Psychotherapie, Psychoanalyse - German language magazines and journals published by Klett-Cotta
- Art Archiv, Capital, Geo, Geo Epoche, and Stern - German language newspapers and magazines published by Gruner + Jahr
Additionally, De Gruyter and Nomos have been centralised from their previous on-wiki signup location on the German Wikipedia. Many other collections are freely available by simply logging in to The Wikipedia Library with your Wikimedia login!
We are also excited to announce that the first version of a new design for My Library was deployed this week. We will be iterating on this design with more features over the coming weeks. Read more on the project page on Meta.
Lastly, an Echo notification will begin rolling out soon to notify eligible editors about the library (T132084). If you can translate the notification please do so at TranslateWiki!

Hello, @DejaVu. I have been applying to gain access to Civilica, with the application currently having been in pending for 60 days. As the Wikipedia Library's site states that the average time for decision to be taken with regards to an application is 23 days, and that you are in charge of processing applications, I thought I would contact you to see if there are any problems or issues I should fix in order for the application to be approved.
