Your CentralNotice translation
editHey Coolsam726. I think you accidentally removed a line when translating Wikimania 2010/CentralNotice#sw. Could you please add the translation for "Registration for Wikimania 2010 is now open." on there? Thanks for your help! Cbrown1023 talk 21:20, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry for the error and thanks for the correction. I have translated the line. I'm Samson Maosa a.k.a Coolsam726 05:05, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

Copyright problem with File:Maosa.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Maosa.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at this page.
I know you say it is not under any copyright, but you need to tag the picture as released under creative commons, another free license or as public domain. Thanks again for your cooperation. QU TalkQu 16:18, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
Kenyan Wikipedian Stories
editHi!
My name is Victor Grigas and I'm a storyteller with the Wikimedia Foundation in San Francisco. I'm chronicling the inspiring stories of the Wikipedia community from around the world. Stories are critical to inform and inspire the general public to support the Wikipedia movement by donating their money or to become volunteers themselves.
After seeing this inspiring story about Kenya's very own Gabriel Nderitu -
and hearing about the 'Project for Kenyan Schools', I thought that it might be fruitful to plan a trip to Kenya to interview Kenyan Wikipedians face-to-face.
I would need to confirm that I have at least 15 people to speak with who may have interesting stories about Wikipedia to make the trip worth the money. If needed, I could hire a translator. My understanding is that iHub in Nairobi hosts Wiki-meetups once a month. It may be feasible to attend a meetup there and interview people individually after that?
Please let me know what you think, I would very much like the opportunity to represent Wikimedia Kenya in the fundraiser this year.
I am sending this message to everyone I can reach at Wikimedia Kenya. Please let me know if there is a more formalized process to reach people.
Thank you for your time,
Victor Grigas

Grants:IEG/Wikipedia likes Galactic Exploration for Posterity 2015
editDear User:Coolsam726,
People suggested that I consult with fellow Wikipedians to get feedback and help to improve my idea about "As an unparalleled way to raise awareness of the Wikimedia projects, I propose to create a tremendous media opportunity presented by launching Wikipedia via space travel."
I plan to use the WikiOffline and OpenZIM content library as the basis of the content launched into outer space.
Please see the idea at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:IEG/Wikipedia_likes_Galactic_Exploration_for_Posterity_2015. Please post your suggestions on the talk page and please feel free to edit the idea and join the project.
Thank you for your time and attention in this matter. I appreciate it.
