This page...

...is a bit neglected, in comparision to pages like SRM, SRG. Should we:

  • get an archive bot?
  • abandon this page in favour of SRM and SRG?

Yes, hello. Vogone talk 02:24, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
Abandon in favour of SRM and SRG. Ajraddatz (Talk) 02:27, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
(Edit conflict.) Looking at the header, this page seems to have the purpose to provide a platform to coordinate global countervandalism work. As far as I have seen, user subpages seem to be preferred for this and thus this page isn't getting much input anymore. That said, I'm not strongly for abandoning this page but also wouldn't bother if that happened. Vogone talk 02:30, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
I'm not sure what we should do, but obviously this isn't working out. Either we should narrow the scope of the page and archive it or just abandon this in favor of SRG. PiRSquared17 (talk) 17:21, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
Not sure but I'm leaning towards abandon in favour of SRM/SRG. --Glaisher [talk] 17:37, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
This page differs from SRM in that it can be used to poke GS and other users as well as stewards. I would suggest that this page be discontinued and instead some sort of GSM (global sysops - miscellaneous) be setup to encourage users to file in requests that only need GS help and that whatever needs steward attention be directed to SRM or there. A recent update to Global User Contributions may be handy for checking vandalism and spam problems. The "[cross-wiki edits]" link takes you to GUC (e.g., this link currently on the page). If you want to see only the most recent hour's edits, then change the "Results from" dropdown menu to limit the search to the last hour (or the last 30 days).
