Link to documentation about autovalue?
editI just read this and thought "Cool, I want to add this to a few templates that could need it." But I don't find any information on how I can do it in the linked bug. Wouldn't it be better to add a link to documentation since it starts with "You can add an 'autovalue'.."? Now it sets expectations that are not fulfilled. --Ainali (talk) 16:31, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- Ainali: Good point. I've written some basic documentation on mediawiki.org, and added the link to the English text and all translations. Thank you for the suggestion! Guillaume (WMF) (talk) 09:37, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
Hello?

- Pinging User:AKlapper (WMF) about this. Guillaume (WMF) (talk) 14:34, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you for the ping. I will try to upload it once I've read and understood commons:Commons:YouTube_files. --AKlapper (WMF) (talk) 22:31, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
- I managed to locally convert the Youtube video to OGG (Vorbis audio and Theora video) by using the 'Transmageddon' software but I have no idea under which license this Hangout is, and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fpkHyCGX1Y says "Standard YouTube License". --AKlapper (WMF) (talk) 08:06, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
- Before uploading on Commons I really need somebody to tell me under which license such a video is (and that's a generic question that WMF should sort out as it won't be the last tech talk). For example there is the Google hangouts logo shown at the end... --AKlapper (WMF) (talk) 21:30, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
- My colleagues now changed the license of the Youtube video to CC 3.0 so now anybody could upload it to Commons. I hope to give that a shot when I have more time and more stable internet (travelling) but Cwek feel free to go ahead if you feel like. --AKlapper (WMF) (talk) 10:03, 22 October 2014 (UTC)
- So much for uploading the file to Commons. It's been showing "Finished! 0 out of 1 file uploaded" for an hour now without any option to continue. "hunked uploads for files over 5 MB in Upload Wizard" is enabled and "Maximum number of concurrent uploads" set to 0. I might have to try again tomorrow I guess. --AKlapper (WMF) (talk) 15:47, 22 October 2014 (UTC)
- Done now that several UploadWizard bugs have been fixed: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:The_Very_Basics_of_Phabricator.ogg --AKlapper (WMF) (talk) 12:12, 24 October 2014 (UTC)
