Recent additions to the extensions category

User:Pppery First, thanks for adding some items to the "extensions" category :) A couple of extensions that I am looking at, for example, Extension:LiquidThreads is currently not maintained and Extension:FlaggedRevs is challenging to deploy. I'm wondering if there is a reason why you added it to the list and others as well? As the Starter kit is going to be a collection of recommended tools, bots, extensions, etc., it would probably be helpful to document the reason behind these recommendations as well. @SSethi (WMF): I think you misunderstood my edit entirely. What I was actually doing was including the list of extensions that will not be deployed on new wikis (from Limits to configuration changes) here, not recommending any extensions, as I said in the edit summary * Pppery * _{it has begun} 01:39, 2 May 2020 (UTC)

Logo

One important topic would be: How to create a localized logo? Cf. currently Requests_for_new_languages/Wikisource_Ligurian#footer. --MF-W 20:48, 20 July 2020 (UTC)

Hi! That's a good point! Currently, there is Small wiki toolkits/Starter kit#Wiki configuration changes, but the resource it points to only talks about how to change the logo on a wiki site. So, guidelines for creating a logo itself or the process, if that's what you meant, I think it would be an excellent addition. MediaWiki Extensions

I don't see mediawiki extensions such as :mw:VisualEditor or :mw:Extension:TemplateStyles. You assume your small wiki is a Wikimedia hosted wiki, right ? Yug (talk) 10:11, 19 July 2022 (UTC)

Yes, that's right. Also, "Wiki configuration changes" highlight enabling or disabling an extension but doesn't specifically cover a particular extension. SSethi (WMF) (talk) 00:47, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
