Edit filter blocking my actions at m:Steward requests/Global
Hello,
I am trying to add reports for blocking open proxies, but for whatever reason, the "antispam" edit filter keeps blocking me from doing so, so I guess I'll report them here instead.
Open proxies; recently used for abuse:
- 46.137.143.35 xwiki-contribs • xwiki-date (alt) • ST • IP info • WHOIS • robtex • gblock • glist • abuselog • bullseye

Thanks, 2601:1C0:10A:4319:8460:2EED:6C93:6013 09:23, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
- Nevermind, I got it to work, now. 2601:1C0:105:D9F2:8460:2EED:6C93:6013 11:17, 20 July 2017 (UTC)

I feel that the filter is not working correctly. I have more than 50 edits and I'm getting ratelimited by it often. I had to add this but the editcount flag seems that the filter is not working well either. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by MarcoAurelio (talk) 21:49, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
- I batch tested the filter without that last addition out against your name/edits, and got zero hits, so maybe it is a systemic fault rather than the filter itself. The < 50 is a clear step that could not be ignored. — billinghurst sDrewth 11:53, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Billinghurst: [1] - how can we make sure that this is an extension error before reporting to Phabricator to avoid later being shouted "NO BUG!!!11"? :) —MarcoAurelio (talk) 14:08, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
- Interesting. Test https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:AbuseFilter/examine/log/312159 with filter 6 loaded. You'll get that the filter matched the change but if you look at the list below of parsed variables, neither user groups nor user editcount are there. Maybe that's the reason? —MarcoAurelio (talk) 14:10, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
- Fixed, | overlooked during cleanup. --Steinsplitter (talk) 14:52, 26 July 2017 (UTC)

- To me it is more interesting that running the check against your last set of edits failed to trip the test mode, yet it trips if you run the specific filter on the edit through examine mode. Something to bear in mind. — billinghurst sDrewth 23:24, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
Languages interface
Could someone introduce the new language interface to translate pages on a easily way on Wikinewspage? Wikinews Meta page is the only one without the new interface like Wikiqoute Meta page, Wikipedia Meta page and others. If anyone from the sysops can do that, that would be great! Livenws (talk) 11:23, 27 July 2017 (UTC)
- It is easy to do, but could you please copyedit the existing text there? I am not sure it is up-to-date and simple enough to take translators' time working on it. --Base (talk) 14:15, 1 August 2017 (UTC)
- Once my update revision is restored on that page, I will give you a ping. Livenws (talk) 22:30, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
