Not ending before 3 February 2021 16:29 (UTC)
Hello!
Wikimedia Czech Republic would like to experiment with automatically transferring English-language news from our website (info: English version is currently unavailable) to metawiki pages, to facilitate reporting.
The bot will manage pages under Wikimedia chapters/Reports/Wikimedia Czech Republic. Example of pages that will be created can be found in the bot's own userspace.
I decided to run this bot task from a separate account (other than User:UrbanecmBot), since UrbanecmBot is my personal bot, while this bot is designed to serve chapter's needs.
The bot's code is currently non-public, but I plan to eventually publish it.
Happy to answer any questions.

Signed from bot's account too, to prove bot operator's identity. --Wikimedia Czech Republic's bot (talk) 16:32, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Martin Urbanec: what type of volume is this expected to create - the examples looks pretty low-volume? Where I'm going with this is why would this task benefit from a bot flag as opposed to say just +autopatrol? — xaosflux Talk 17:46, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Xaosflux It's expected to create one page per month, plus update the main page, so yes, it's definitely low-volume. I'm fine with not having a bot flag, however, I feel it's nice to the community to seek task approval regardless :-). Best, Martin Urbanec (talk) 22:33, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
- Well I certainly support such a task, think +autopatrol is fine (as people may also actually want to see this edit on WLs or RCP). — xaosflux Talk 23:01, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for making a bot request, but I agree with Xaosflux that autopatrol should be enough for this purpose. --Ameisenigel (talk) 22:58, 28 January 2021 (UTC)

- On the community task approval part, this looks quite uncontroversial and fine to me too. ProcrastinatingReader (talk) 15:50, 1 February 2021 (UTC)
Approved for the task requested. No bot flag for now, but autopatrol will be assigned. —MarcoAurelio (talk) 16:34, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
