Why- Ensure Equity in Decision-making  edit

The Wikimedia Movement is a diverse and growing Movement, and there is need to include new voices and more diversity in decision-making processes with these reasons we plan involving our community to ensure we are fully engaged & involved in the Movement Governance processes/ review, that every community member understands the Roles and Responsibilities in the governance of the movement, and can easily provide responses on what works for them. This community Engagement is to discuss the four new drafts (Global council, hubs, roles and responsibilities, glossary) and get community response. To Enable equitable representation in global decision-making,the movement require a global structure that responds to the needs of our Movement as a whole and represents communities in an equitable way. The Global Council is a planned body that is intended to serve as "a global structure that responds to the needs of our Movement as a whole and represents communities in an equitable way", and would be "representative of the Movement in its role and composition". These Conversations will focus on getting feedbacks on the Structures, roles and responsibilities of these decision-making bodies - Global council which includes Overseeing the implementation of Movement Strategy, with community input wherever possible, and its alignment across established structures of the Movement; Overseeing further development and endorsement of the Movement Charter; Enforcing accountability of all Movement organizations around: Use of Movement funds; Alignment with the Wikimedia mission, vision, and Strategic Direction; Compliance with the Movement Charter; Appropriate use of movement branding and marks; Setting frameworks on resource allocation and revenue generation for the Movement. Any responsibility that the Interim Global Council has identified as needing to be delegated by the Board. Read more on the Global Council, it's Responsibilities and associated powers
