Support details edit

Support type edit

What type of support you need

  • Chromebook  Y
  • Internet  Y

Reason edit

Why do you need this support (Internet and/or Chromebook)

I recently had to bear the loss of my important personal research data because I was using my personal laptop for wiki activities, thus making it prone to all sorts of damage. My laptop was stolen. In order to keep my personal data separate from wiki work, I would like to request a Chromebook for outreach activity. It will also provide assistance during events at schools. We need internet connection for edit-a-thons with school students.

Do you have a working laptop?

My personal laptop was stolen from a Wiki event. I have another, but can't take any kind of chances again.

Had you received the support in the first iteration of Project Tiger?

NO

Future activities edit

How will you use this in the next six months?

We have planned various activities at the two institutes where we are running the education initiative. Along with this, I am engaged in organizing various awareness sessions. The laptop will also be used by students during wiki events.
