History of application

This grant application was first made 22 November 2017 at Grants:TPS/marielavzla/Offline Internet Resources for Rural Schools in Peru. On 30 November the WMF staff review began. On 12 January that review ended with a recommendation to complete the "rapid" form instead of the "travel" form. I apologize for the confusion; the "travel" application says, ":Travel & Participation Support funds volunteers contributing to Wikimedia projects to travel to and participate in primarily non-Wikimedia events. Travel to represent Wikimedia at a non-movement event: Present a talk, Organize a workshop", which is all accurate for this project. I appreciate whatever help WMF staff can offer to help me complete the correct form.

Hi Blue Rasberry , thank you for clarifying the nature of your confusion. TPS was created to allow Wikimedians with a particular expertise to attend conferences with other people who share that expertise. For example, a physics professor who is also a Wikimedian volunteer might attend a conference for physics researchers and present about how Wikimedia projects apply in that context. We focus on sending Wikimedian volunteers to participate in independently planned large group events open to the public, like conferences. A serial campaign like the one described in this proposal, focused on touring schools and conducting targeted outreach and training is a much more complex, project-style endeavor than TPS is intended to include.
