The proposal is the first of its kind in Osun state that focus on recruiting and establishing a formal group of Wikimedian volunteers in Osun state. It is essential to Osun because it will educate and expose students to the importance of promoting free knowledge and using Wikipedia as a verifiable sources of information.

1. The proposal is well-crafted, with clearly stated goals, implementation strategies, and a high level of community involvement to address knowledge gaps and change the misconception they may have about Wikipedia as an online encyclopaedia. The project will also address knowledge gaps that exist about people, places, heritage, organisations in Osun state by creating new articles and improving existing ones. Furthermore, the collaboration with the Osun State Youth Parliament, stakeholders in Education Sector in Osun state,and school management of Fountain University, Osun state University and Federal Polytechnic Ede will help boost student participation and ennsure proper monitoring of the project is in place.
2. This proposal is based on an observation carried out by wikimedia volunteers in Osun state which found that between 2020 till date there has never been series of training or edithaton to engage the Wikimedia in Osun state. As a result, this project has the potential to create a connection for Wikimedians in Osun state, recruit new editors and significantly boost their digital literacy skills, research skills, and assist them in acquiring new knowledge outside of their regular academic activities.
3. This project proposal will educate and train the participants on how to effectively contribute to open knowledge.
4. This project will help improve contents on Wikipedia, Wikidata and Wikicommons. This project aligns with the recommendations of Wikimedia 2030 Movement strategy which include:

• Increase the Sustainability of Our Movement
• Invest in Skills and Leadership Development, Evaluate, Iterate, and Adapt

5. The project proposal is carefully drafted and coherent in terms of the objectives, strategies, budget and expected results (metrics).

Hi RukayatAjeigbe, thank you for submitting your grant application. After reviewing your grant proposal, we have some questions to learn more about the project and planned activities.

• Please confirm that you will partner with Wikimedia Nigeria UG in terms of this project. They have similar activities in their annual plan and we need to make sure that you collaborate with each other so that there is no duplication of efforts. If the project is funded, we request that you contact them directly. Please add the confirmation to question 11.
• There are some discrepancies in the metrics you provided for question 16 and 17. For example, you mentioned '90% of all editors are new' and also '100% of all editors are new'. Could you please take another look at the metrics section?
• The budget file you created is in your Google Drive trash. Please recover it, so that others can review it.
• It's unclear which specific activities or events you plan to run. Please add these details to question 3.
• Please update the grant start date. The earliest start date for projects in the July-August Rapid Fund cycle is August 28, 2022. Similarly, please fix the project end date.
• Could you please confirm that most of the facilitators are from Osun state? Please add these details to question 5.
• Please review your budget and increase some expenses, especially for the space. Please remove the camera expenses.
