Support as a Co-Grantee & MC ambassador. I endorse the project for the strategically significant meeting involving Indian representatives attending the Wikimedia Summit in Berlin. This gathering, focused on the review and analysis of Movement Charter Drafts, is crucial for preparing participants to actively contribute to summit discussions. It plays an important role in fostering meaningful conversations, exchanging insights, and forming a collective opinion on key matters affecting Indian Communities that are highlighted in the drafts. This initiative will ensures that Indian representatives are well-prepared to actively shape the future of the Wikimedia movement. --signed, 511KeV (talk) 11:19, 10 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

As one of the invited representatives from the region to Wikimedia Summit 2024, I believe that this event makes sense and could help prepare the attendees for WS2024 for a better and fruitful result, involving at the better representation. The support from the regional members of the MCDC and of the CIS-A2K is well appreciable and I'm certain that this helps the historically underrepresented region have a better voice. ─ The Aafī (talk) 14:01, 13 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Follow-up Questions from South Asia Regional Funds Committee and Programme Officer edit

Hello @FromPunjab,

Thank you for your interest in the rapid fund programme. Your grant application has moved from the grant eligibility phase to grant review phase and it is undergoing the review process. Would you be able to provide responses to the following questions?

Thank you and looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards, Jacqueline on behalf of SA Regional Funds Committee

--

1) Could you provide a more detailed breakdown of the budget request? Here's the budget template for rapid fund grants. Would it be possible to use the budget template provided and include more information on your cost estimates and thought process in putting together the budget? As CIS-A2K will be hosting the meeting, could you provide more information on the venue and facilities component?

2) Would you be able to share how you plan to distribute the funds to the other participants and also the meta usernames (if applicable) of the 15-18 participants?

3) For rapid fund grants in cycle 4, the earliest start date is 16 March 2024. The Wikimedia Summit is planned for 19-21 April 2024. As part of your learning and evaluation segment where "impact will be assessed by analysing post-meeting contributions at the Wikimedia Summit" , would you like to provide revised start and end dates for your application? 3. We think that the pre-meeting planning is just as vital as the post-meeting contributions, which are critical for assessing impact. Our pre-meeting's objective is to get attendees ready for the Wikimedia Summit by going over the subjects and themes that will be covered there, with an emphasis on going over and analyzing the Movement Charter Drafts. We want to make sure that our participants are capable of actively contributing to the future direction of the Wikimedia movement, which is why we are arranging this meeting. We changed our closing date to April 15, 2024, because the grant is still being reviewed. We appreciate your attention to the significance of contributions made both before and after the meeting in the assessment section. FromPunjab (talk) 05:28, 11 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
