A long-time volunteer member of the Community Support Grant Committee, Ashioma Medi, was hired as a substantive programmeme officer for the Community Support Grant programmeme following an open call for applications for the position. It was an exciting atmosphere for the Wikimedia community in Nigeria to have a volunteer hired for a paid role for which he had volunteered. Medi would be supported by Ayokanmi Oyeyemi, Wikimedia Nigeria's program Director. The program, along with other programs, could now be effectively evaluated as Adetola Aborishade was hired as Wikimedia User Group Nigeria's Monitoring, Leaning, and Evaluation Programme Officer.
