Abstract (in about 300 words)

This talk will discuss various approaches and case studies these were to develop an integrated approach for Understating and dealing with local media by Telugu Wikipedia community and Media relations, understanding why Local media Matter in terms of reaching community , community learning on what makes media attention, understanding the relationship between and among the mead and wiki sources of information and influence on current trends. The talk will summarize of various strategies executed by Telugu Wikipedia community from last 12 years and media-related Initiatives , evaluate case study of wiki user generated content using in media . The session would be helpful in understanding the need of media relations in wiki projects .
