Abstract (in about 300 words)

Wikipedia Edit-a-thons defenitly help wikipedia to reach into more people. It will create a refresh in a local wikipedia community. It also help to bring more new users and great content into wikipedia. In malayalam wiki community we have Oneday Wikiworkshops and Edit-a-thon programs which last nearly one month or more. Here I am trying to share how to conduct one day wiki edit workshop to attract more new users into wikipedia. Also how to conduct Edit-a-thons which last for a month or more. How involve more people to create articles. How to maintain a good Edit-a-thon Event page in wikipedia. How to create special barnstar pages and templates for the edit-a-thon etc. Also in Malayalam wikipedia we are participating on different local events like exhibitions to reach more people. I will try to share my experience of how to create a wikipedia stall and how to manage it.
