Old Norse Wikipedia edit

While waiting for the creation of the Old Norse Wikipedia, I would like as much people as possible to come on this page to dicuss the "neologisms" we should use on it. Please take a look. Yours sincerly. Sajasaze 09:42, 22 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

P.S. : As you have many usernames, I've sent this message to each of them.

Old Norse Wikipedia (2) edit

It seems you have great knowledge of old norse, so if you could get on the test wiki ( test-wp/non/ ) and begin translating the pages already asked, you would be of great help. -- Sajasaze 16:35, 23 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Trust in Wikipedia edit

this is Cathy from Hong Kong working on a research about trust on Wikipedia. I wonder if you would kindly contact me at researchingmedia@gmail.com? I'd like to chat with you about Wikipedia of your language. Would you kindly drop me your email or IM (Skype, MSN, AIM or ICQ)? It wouldn't take more than ten minutes, but it would help enormously for us to understand the overall trust-based social landscape of Wikipedia. Thank you!

Skandinavisk Wikinytt edit

Hei Olve. Den gamle siden for nye prosjekter ser ut til å være utdatert. Hvis du fortsatt er interessert i prosjektet er Requests for new languages stedet å ta det opp. Hilsen Kjetil r 00:56, 11 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: "Your threats to block participants in this debate are counterproductive" edit

If everybody talks in a civil manner no one will be blocked. Blocking people that insults others is normal. --Snowdog 11:47, 2 December 2007 (UTC) P.S.: And I don't like how you have twisted my words.Reply

I cannot see that I have twisted your words anywhere. If you want to ask a different admin to look at the issue of blocking or not blocking from a third-party, neutral perspective, that is obviously fine. Your degree of involvement in the Italian language projects means that you have a conflict of interest in this particular case, and your threats therefore give a very different result than if someone not involved in either the Italian or the Lombardian project had brought it up. It doesn't matter in the context of conflict of interest whether your threats are jutified or not. -- Olve 12:45, 2 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

And regarding the stubs of danish wiki. We are not talking about stubs. Lmo.wiki has 100.000 articles like this, written in a language invented by a catalan, that is not lombard. Sorry a stub is something completely different. --Snowdog 11:54, 2 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

The Danish Wikipedia former stubs, which I am actually quite familiar with, were in many cases 3-word substubs, and often not even with any meaning. As I have said before, I agree that the Lombard project needs a lot of fixing. -- Olve 12:45, 2 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I would appreciate if the debate could take place on the actual discussion page concerning this issue, by the way. All the best, Olve 12:45, 2 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Help, please edit

Hello Olve, please take a look at this page: Requests for comments/Lombard wikipedia, urgent desysoping and unblock requests: two users:

  1. Nick1915
  2. Fabexplosive

from Lombard wikipedia have cheated in a regular vote: when they got caught, they have accused those who denounced their abuse to be "meatpuppets" (since the checkuser had returned that the accounts involved are all unrelated). They have also blocked 18 accounts of people denouncing this abuse. It is difficult not to suspect a moanœuver by the Italian chapter, analogous to the recent infamous one of trying to close Lombard wikipedia: after that shameful campaign, some users (among which the above ones) have nominated themselves administrators with a sham vote, and now they are trying (successfully, at present) to prevent the encyclopedia from developing. This is just another case. Please help.--Belinzona 08:21, 22 September 2008 (UTC) PS Due to the emergency situation, I will write this letter to ther people too. Sorry for this.Reply
