Please be aware that there is a word limit of 1000 words for all your answers in total. You used so far 1144 words according to my counting tool in Libre Office Writer.
The word limit exists to limit the effort for our translators who will translate your text into several languages so that people who do not understant English can vote for you. Der-Wir-Ing ("DWI") talk 09:26, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
Optional question for Board Election candidacy
editA mistake in the candidate application was brought to the attention of the Election Committee, accidentally duplicating an optional question and omitting an additional optional question. The Election Committee decided that candidates may still answer the additional question, and will waive the word count limit in the case of answering this additional question. You may fill out your answer on your candidacy page. The deadline to answer the optional question is 23:59 UTC on 2 June. Please let me know if you have any questions. l'élection du conseil d'administration de la Wikimedia Foundation 2024
edit"Bonjour,

Questions I asked the candidates on August 25, 2024, and were not answered, but on the contrary were deleted
editHello Farah. I was at Wikimania in Katowice, I entered to the session where each candidate introduced himself for 3 minutes. I prepared questions for the candidates, but to my surprise they were not allowed to ask them questions. There were so many sessions in Wikimania, some of them were very very long. On such an important topic, the Wikimedia Foundation did not see fit to leave time for questions. When I returned home, I posted the questions on the questions page for candidates. No one answered except one candidate. The questions were removed on the bureaucratic grounds, that the time for questions had passed. Prefering bureaucracy over substance.
So I decided to ask you directly: What do you think about the use of Wikipedia for political purposes including the use of banners and changing the site's logo to a political logo. If you are elected, will you act to change the regulations, so that there is no permission to do so? And if in a certain Wikipedia they do it anyway, are you in favor of the Wikimedia Foundation's intervention in the matter, including blocking the editors who initiated and did it? I hope I will get an answer. Thanks Hanay (talk) 07:15, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
