Requests for new languages/Wikipedia Jambi Malay
|←main page||Request for a new language edition: Wikipedia Jambi Malay|
- The community needs to develop an active test project; it must remain active until approval (automated statistics, recent changes). It is generally considered active if the analysis lists at least three active, not-grayed-out editors listed in the sections for the previous few months.
- The community needs to complete required MediaWiki interface translations in that language (about localization, translatewiki, check completion).
- The community needs to discuss and complete the settings table below:

(2) Files on Commons can be used on all Wikis. (3) Uploading fair-use images is not allowed on Commons (more info). (4) Localisation to your language may be insufficient on Commons.

- @David Wadie Fisher-Freberg: Pardon, but due to , are you really sure that that test project is in Jambi Malay, instead of "jambinized Indonesian, that is Bahaa Indonesia interspersed with a few emblematic Jambi words"? This looks like a big block for a potential approval. --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 03:07, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose. Eventhough I know the "Jambi Malay" is very different than Malay, but I oppose the creation, simply because these language is wrongly or mistakenly named or identified as 'Malay', while actually it is the variant of Minangkabau (Minangkabau Wikipedia already exist) mixed with Palembang language.
