ask.fm for en.Wikipedia

edit

Could this be whitelisted for en.Wikipedia? While it can probably be used to poorly source articles in certain circumstances (like many other online/primary sources, it depends on who is making the posts), I have used it in the past to source production info on the English Wikipedia for the Cartoon Network series Adventure Time; the show's executive producer and showrunner (i.e. Adam Muto) uses it to answer fan questions about the show. Since, in the context that I use it, it meets all the requirements for inclusion according to en.Wikipedia's article WP:SELFSOURCE, I feel there should be no issue with it being whitelisted.--Gen. I'm trying to link to a yandex translation of an arwiki article for use in an RfC, but the spam blacklist is preventing me. Could said link be whitelisted? Thanks!

eporner.com removal from the blacklist?

edit

Somebody who's account was spamming Wikipedia in past and who got banned, created initial Eporner article in past, so eporner.com \beporner.com\b ended up on the blacklist for no real reason. This is a big business and a legitimate website, 84th website in the world and 8th adult websites worldwide. Can it please be removed? Thank you! Nettrust (talk) 10:04, 18 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Being a big business isn't a reason for exemption. Is there a specific page that needs a specific link to that domain? — xaosflux Talk 10:10, 12 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Whitelist welcomeurope.com on Meta

edit

Hi, I want to publish on Meta a new page with information for Wikimedia affiliates, and one link using welcomeurope.com is preventing the publication of the page. The link is valid and useful in the context of that page. The page has been translated to several languages already, and I'd rather not touch the source text at this point. This domain was blocked globally in 2011 because apparently it was being used in a misleading way. I'm not arguing that reasoning, and (for me) that domain can remain blocked everywhere except Meta. In the context of Meta there is little to no margin for misleading. The website is a .com (not .eu or .org), and clearly a private consulting firm offering their services and showing their team, address, and so on. Not a scam. What is the page? Publish it with the link broken (e.g. put spaces in it) for review please. When ready, activate the edit request above. — xaosflux Talk 10:09, 12 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
The link is www.welcomeurope.com/en/all-about-the-cerv-programme Qgil-WMF (talk) 10:36, 12 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Sorry @Xaosflux, it is the first time I use this template. Am I supposed to activate it here or in the page where the link needs to be corrected? (Revenue Generation Across Wikimedia) In this page, I inserted the link as https://www.welcomeurope.com/en/all-about-the-cerv-programme/ (notice the extra "e" in welcomeeurope to bypass the spamfilter). Qgil-WMF (talk) 10:39, 12 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Ok, now that I see the template with the "no" value, I guess it needs to go to Revenue Generation Across Wikimedia? It's a translatable page with several completed translations attached, and I hesitate to add this temporary template to the mix... This edit is not urgent. Please clarify what I need to do and I'll follow the steps. Qgil-WMF (talk) 10:47, 12 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Done added for specific link. — xaosflux Talk 12:26, 12 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
