Endorsment from Onyenachi64 (talk) edit

We at the Network will be happy to participate in the project. It will give us opportunity to bring in more content about Nigerian women in Wikiquote. some of us that have not edited wikiquote before like me will have a good opportunity to learn and expand the wiki projects that we can contribute. I support.

This programme will be good for us to participate in. There are great quotes from Nigerian women that need to be recognised. I am also aware that many senior citizens look forward to participate in the programme as it will provide us with another reach platform for training and collaboration. I support.

Partially Funded edit

Hello @Oby Ezeilo thank you for applying for the rapid fund grant. We reviewed and approved the grant in the amount of 1,938,115 NGN ($2,517USD) with the following comments:

Commendations to the team as this project details how the team aims to target a diverse group of participants - senior citizens - and plans to engage both in-person and online contributors. This inclusive approach ensures a broader representation of voices and experiences, aligning well with the movement’s commitment to diversity and equity.

  • We recommend the team reviews the budget line items related to hiring of a hall, data support, merchandise and branding. Additionally, we recommend that the team reduces the number of days for the planned activities.
  • Considering the languages the team intends to cover, it will be important for the team to collaborate or coordinate with those language groups. This will ensure that there is no duplication of activities. For instance the Igbo user group already has a comprehensive #SheSaid program for this language community.
  • Additionally, while the application outlines the planned activities, it will be good to specify the topics to be covered in training sessions, especially considering the varied skill levels of participants. Consider adding details regarding any ongoing support channels like online forums or mentorship opportunities to aid participants during and after the project.
  • Finally, we encourage the project team in future to reach out to the Wikimedia Nigeria User group for support regarding initiatives you are seeking to implement.

Wishing you all the best on this project!
