Endorsement from Ibjaja055 (talk) 02:00, 18 October 2022 (UTC) edit

Usmanagm served as a volunteer trainer and moderator in my project Wikimedia Promotions in Federal University Kashere. Hinging on his capacity to deliver, I am ready to join in the delivery as a facilitator, as well as on the sustainable and impact of the proposed project. The project will promote Wikipedia awareness in Akko, documenting their languages, cultures and notable places. Ibjaja055 (talk) 02:00, 18 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Support edit

Akko is a large Community in Northern Nigeria and indeed one of the largest in Nigeria. Despite the popularity and historical relevance of the community, it irks to have discovered that not a single wikipedia editor exists from the community apart from the project lead of the Wikipedia Awareness in Akko. I like the coherency and clarity of his proposal and its envisioning of being a very impactful and sustainable project. I am happy to join as a facilitator as well as to provide all necessary supports in the sustainability of the project. I am interested particularly in the sustainability, and I am very sure through our networks the likes of the Hausa User group, the new Editors to be recruited would grow the community into a big Wikipedia infused hub of baking, moulding and shaping ideas towards wikipedia and its sister project. Being a trainer himself and considering his vast organizational Strategy and critical thinking skills, as well as his popularity both online and offline in the community and by extension northern Nigeria Nigeria, I am certainly sure. —Gwanki 20:39, 18 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Acknowledgement edit

I met the applicant first when I attended a Wikimedia promotion recently in Kashere where we both served as part of the facilitators. He's part of the organizing team and I have well noted the role he played so well. Considering, all the other experienced editors involved in the project proposal, I think it will be carried out in an appropriate way through the guides he will receive from them. Extension Request edit

Dear DSaroyan (WMF),

Due to delay in the delivery of funds, can you please extend the starting date to be from 12th of December (this coming Monday) to the 12th of January (Ending date)?

Note: I have no issue with the Report due date, which is 24th January. I can meet up with that that, there's no need to touch that. It's the grant starting and ending dates that I am requesting to know if it can be shifted due to the delay in the fund's delivery. The grant payment arrived today.

Thank you and looking forward to your favourable response. Usmanagm (talk) 10:40, 9 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello Usmanagm, thanks for posting your request. I have reviewed and formally approved it. The new grant end date is 12 January 2023, and the final report is due on 12 February 2023. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 11:06, 9 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
