Your Feedback On The Leadership Development Plan is Important!
editHi Ibjaja055,
I am reaching out to you specifically on behalf of the Leadership Development Working Group (LDWG) who recently published the Leadership Development Plan, a practical resource for emerging and existing leaders across the Wikimedia movement who want to develop themselves and others. Your perspectives will be really helpful in making this resource useful. Any opinions, feedback or ideas that you share would be appreciated. You can give feedback through the short survey, MS Forum, talk page or email at leadershipworkinggroup@wikimedia.org.
The review period closes on Sunday May 28, 2023.
Thank you!
Hi Shefiu
editGood day and I trust this message finds you well. I am writing to provide feedback regarding the ongoing "Wiki Loves AfroDemics" initiative. It has come to my attention that a user, Mahmoud Inuwa Balarabe, has been causing disruptions on both the WikiProject page and the event page. This user has been promoting a specific article (en:Ganiyu_Oboh_(Professor)), which does not currently exist on English Wikipedia, possibly under the pretense of having created it. However, the article does exist under a different title, without the disambiguation, and has been part of English Wikipedia since 2021.
I have taken the initiative to rectify the issues caused by this user on the event page, but they have also disrupted the main WikiProject page.
Furthermore, I suspect that this user may be misusing multiple accounts, specifically Mahmoud Inuwa Balarabe and Mahmoud Inuwa Balarabe cln. I recommend reaching out to them to address this potential violation of multiple account usage before the situation escalates.
Thank you for your dedication to this project. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

African Academic Page Nominated for Deletion
editHello,
I have found The AfroDemics Project while looking into a recent notification I got about a page to be deleted: Drinah Nyirenda (a Zambian nutritionist and agricultural scientist). I am not very active on Wikipedia these days, but I would love it if the page didn't have to be deleted.
I have never had to deal with an article deletion discussion, and I thought that maybe this page could become part of the project if anyone is able to find more sources to avoid deletion?. This is an old page I created when I was working on adding more African women scientists to Wikipedia.
Thanks in advance. Looking forward to anything you are able to tell me.

- @MGattaThank you for reaching out to me. Kindly check the notabilty for professors/academics and see if the subject meets any of the criteria. Most of the times, sources are the main reasons why articles like this get deleted. Ibjaja055 (talk) 16:17, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
