Hi Bjankuloski06. Many thanks to you and everyone that worked on CEE WikiCamp 2015. We appreciate the time and effort put into organizing the event, as well as your work on this report. We supported this project to bring together the CEE Spring winners to share experiences, introduce them to the Wikimedia movement, and pilot new editor engagement models (like wikigames). It sounds like the participants enjoyed meeting offline and exploring a new place and culture! We have a number of questions/comments and are looking forward to hearing your response:

  1. Did you have an event page for CEE Wikicamp that lists the final participant's usernames? This participant page does not seem to have the final number. Did you track the content created during the camp?
@AWang (WMF): Hello Alex. The now listen on the same page. Thanks for the reminder! --B. Jankuloski (talk) 20:59, 22 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
  1. In the "what worked well" section, you write that the participants were motivated to continue their work on Wikipedia. Have you been able to follow up with the participants to better understand if attending WikiCamp has lead them to engage more with the Wikimedia projects? For example, edit some of the new projects they were exposed to at WikiCamp, join offline activities in their country, become more engaged in the online communities where they edit?
@AWang (WMF): Unfortunately, no. We only concluded that from the mood and the intentions expressed. We were not aware that it would be up to us to do follow-ups, so unfortunately, it has not been done. --B. Jankuloski (talk) 20:59, 22 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
  1. Did you get any insight during the event into why many of the participants are active editors, yet not involved with their local chapter or the broader Wikimedia movement? We are really interested in learning more about this to help develop better activities that will engage more editors and volunteers.
  2. It does not sounds like WikiCamp will be offered again as part of CEE Spring. What is your assessment of the project overall? Is it something that you would recommend other groups organize in the future?
@AWang (WMF): We made an assessment of the events in report, but overall, we can certainly recommend it if the organisers have more time to plan the activities and better venue, and not rely so much on existing equipment as it is. We think it is a great way to meet people offline, engage in various activities and bring people closer together, as well as strengthen CEE collaborations in future. --B. 1. We will deduct the remaining funds from the next payment for your Simple Annual Plan grant.
@AWang (WMF): This was already discussed with Winifred, so I think you should check with her. --B. Jankuloski (talk) 20:59, 22 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
