WikiClubs' statistics edit

2022 started with new motivations and new beginnings for the clubs. At the beginning of the year, the clubs summed up the results of the previous year, those who were active throughout the year were awarded.

The work of Alaverdi Wikiclub started after January 15. The news of the untimely death of one of the favorite club members, Rudik Gharibyan, was very hard and painful news for the club members and generally for everyone. It was especially difficult for the Alaverdi Wikiclub to continue its work after receiving the news. Nevertheless, the club members tried to come to their senses and participate in some projects. The first most important task was to participate in the edit-a-thon dedicated to fallen Wikipedians. 108 articles were created by 42 participants during 10 days of the edit-a-thon, 36 of which were created by 12 members of Alaverdi Wikiclub. Newcomers took part in this edit-a-thon, some of them created their first articles within the framework of this project.

Lernapat Wikiclub summarized the previous year on January 21. The top five members of the club were awarded certificates for their active participation in the club's work over the past year and for their contribution to Armenian Wikipedia. The edit-a-thon dedicated to the 21st anniversary of Wikipedia and the intra-club "An Article per Week" project were also summarized.

The club members of Goris Wikiclub organized Wikipedia training through a video call, as a result of which new members joined the Wikiclub.

On January 10, the Stepanakert Wikiclub hosted the football player Ousmane Faye, who played in the Artsakh national team and was transferred from Senegal to Artsakh. The club members told about their activities, then Ousmane told them how he decided to become a football player, how he found himself in Artsakh, what difficulties he encountered. He also presented what life is like in Senegal, what educational system works there. This month, the club launched a new project - Wikigeologist - in which the participants select a country every month and write articles on their favorite topics. This month, the clubs chose Poland, about which about 13 articles were created. On the day of summarizing the project, one of the club members treated everyone to a Polish cookie - kolachki, the article about which was written by the club members. In the end, they played a game about Poland.
