Jimbo has his list of heavy-hitter big potential sponsors and will be approaching them individually to ask for sponsorship. We should set up different levels of sponsorship (platinum, gold, etc.) with various benefits (whatever that means). We should also have a good explanation of how the money will be used (real-time interpreters, cost of the venue, speakers fees?). Jimbo plans to make these phone calls on Monday, January 17 to give us time to iron out the details.

the German national Library will give us guided tours on Friday and on Monday. We can set the time between 8:00 and 16:00. Taking pictures will be allowed.

Translation of meta pages for advertisement and press releases -Work on an explanation/presentation of the event and its translation in as many languages as possible before sending out press releases

16 January : Write summary of what wikimania is all about (core of press release and inter-project advertisement) [Elian, Sj (for CfP)]
23 January : Finalized presentation of the event in as many languages as possible and advertisement on all projects [Anthere, notafish]
14 February : finalized translation of press releases where needed [Angela->Michael Snow, Akl, others]

Needs to be prior to registration to adjust format and languages
Emphasis on the possibility that there will be simultaneous translation if enough people show interest
