Gratulerer, Kimberli![2]

COVID-19 - Our activities edit

April 14 edit

Başak: I am busy with Wikipedia more than ever. Every week I write min. 3-4 articles for Turkish Wikipedia. I take part at international contest and edit-a-thons such as Wikimedia CEE Spring 2020 and International Roma Day Edit-a-thon. Me and my colleagues keep organising trainings for university students. We talk to university professors and ask them give Wikipedia assignments to their students. They happily agree, because now they have to make distant education and they would like to new online activities for engaging their students. Then we make video-conference to make presentations in their class-hours. Nowadays, i also work for organising an edit-a-thon at April 30th, international Jazz Day. We were planing to meet at Istanbul for the event but now the plans have changed. It will be an online event. We'll have a zoom session to help new users for creating articles on Turkish jazz musicians. Now, i also have time to teach myself how to run sparql queries at wikidata. I feel very lucky for having Wikipedia and Wikidata to keep myself busy all the time i stay at home.

Guzal Sitdykowa:I have been staying at home for 13 years, so the isolation conditions are familiar to me. And even the speech can not be about a walk in the city and participation in any activities. All communications are made via phone and social media. Only bread I bake myself at home and I give home-made bread to children as a gift.Self-isolation is the most favorable time for those who write in Wikipedia. We have a group on Facebook, there are also posts from foreign participants.

Artists Mariam Galstyan joined ART+Feminism campaign and edits from home

Armineaghayan:During this period of isolation I am working and curating Art+Feminism campaign that runs in hy wiki from March 16 - May 1, 2020. I planned to have 3 edit-a-thons during this period but COVID-19 stopped it so all these meetings with art talks and artist-wikipedias meetups will be held when the emergency situation is over. In the scope of the campaign wikicommons got some photos of artists and activists.
But meanwhile the Armenian editors are working hard on several wiki projectsː CEE Spring 2020, Art+Feminism 2020, Voyage to Nakhchivan, Music project etc.

З. ӘЙЛЕ I don 't think life has changed dramatically because of caronavirus.Free time has become more, we communicate with children by phone.I am busy searching for new materials for Wikipedia. I like to write about culture and history.

Рәшиҙә Ғизәтуллина The height of village everyday life, not before the virus. It is necessary to improve the site. While granddaughter Arina does not go to kindergarten, also in self-isolation, they began to study Lilia Musina's alifba (primer) with her. A very handy guide! The child does not fumble over letters and words, but thanks to the wisely selected text, she can read one fairy tale every day! Today we read the fairy tale "The Fox and the Crane". “Оlasey (grandmother), why did they visit? Why are they without masks? And we have a quarantine, right? Why don't they have quarantine? " - asking aloud questions, the granddaughter was able to read a rather big text!

Violetova Several off line projects are already cancelled because of coronavirus outbreak. But we still have on-line things to do. I took part in the International Roma Day Edit-a-thon 2020 from 7-12 April 2020. I am helping on-line to Wikipedian in Residence, who managed to get materials out of the Museum of Natural History of North Macedonia, and shared them with several active Wikipedians to work on. From 15 April - 15 May there is an editing contest for High School students on mk.wiki. My job was to share the project page with the GLAM Macedonia's EDU coordinators and other teachers we collaborate with. I am Project and Events Grants committee member, and this days we started to scoring the grants proposals. I have a lot to do while living at the mountain house during the quarantine. - Violetova (talk) 17:20, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

May 18 - International Museum Day edit

Narine Muradyan I would like to tell you a little bit about Alaverdi's Wikiclub. Alaverdi is one of the most beautiful places in Armenia. So, in our club, in addition to writing articles and developing the Armenian content of Wikipedia, we implement various projects. In particular, we organize discussions on various topics, invite different specialists, who share their experience with club members, and actively participate in the community's life. In this period of self-isolation, we work online, implementing various interesting projects. I would like to tell you about one of them. It is customary in our club to organize workshops on different holidays or special days, during which we write an article about that event. We divide the article into parts, each of the editors translates his part, and at the end, with everyone's consent, we dedicate it to one of our club members. I should mention that the club members participate in creating joint articles with great enthusiasm and responsibility. Lately, during one of these joint editions, we created an article about the Вики-өләсәйҙәр. --Նարինե Մուրադյան (talk) 16:32, 2 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
