Fund drive
editThe start of the fund drive has been delayed for at least a few days. The reason is to give us more time to prepare more translations, a press release, donor feedback mechanisms (such as automatically listing new PayPal donations), and work on next quarter’s budget. Sorry for the late notice on this. I will update the translation coordination page with the finalized start and end dates after the board decides that on their Friday 9 December meeting. --Daniel Mayer 21:35, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

Babel and Transbabel
editHi again, welcome back to meta. And thank you for your translation ... by the way, would you please consider to render some templates about your language skills? Now we have two kinds of templates, Meta:Babel templates and Transbabel. You may find the examples on my user page. If you are interested in helping translation, please put them on your user page on meta. Cheers! --Aphaia 16:58, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
Empowerment
editTonync: As I understand it,empowerment is a very general and conceptual term; providing knowledge itself is already a kind of empowerment. The current translation 「...並給予他們權力,在《自由使用許可協議》的框架下收集並發展富教育意義的內容」is correct, but loses the connotation.Hillgentleman | 書 |2007年04月05日( Thu ), 22:44:46
Fundraising Translators
editHi Tonync, my name is Deniz and I am working for the Wikimedia Foundation during the 2010 Fundraiser. My job is to be your liaison between the Chinese community and the Foundation. This year's fundraiser is intended to be a collaborative and global effort, we recognize that banner messages that perform well in the United States don't necessarily translate well, or appeal to international audiences. I'm contacting you as I am currently looking for translators who are willing to contribute to this project, translating messages into Chinese and suggesting messages that would appeal to Chinese readers on the Fundraising Meta Page. Please let me know if you'd be interested in helping with this project, and add your feedback to the proposed messages as well! I look forward to working with you during this year's fundraiser. --Dgultekin 22:02, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
editHello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Tonync. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Tonync~metawiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
