Regional Grant Committee ESEAP Edit
Hi User:Rtnf,
Thank you very much for sending your application to be part of the Regional Grants Committee for the ESEAP region. It is our attempt to form this committee with equitable representation of gender, knowledge, and geographic representation for the region.
As a next step in the process, I would like to invite you to have an orientation call to further discuss your responsibilities and commitment as a committee member. We will also discuss the training plans for the committee and answer any questions you may have. This call should not take more than 30 minutes. Could you please indicate the time between 29 July to 4 August 2021 for this conversation?
In order to begin our preparation for the orientation and training program for Grant Committee members, I request you to kindly fill the form [1]. The information provided here will form the basis for the materials that we develop and topics that shall be discussed.
I would like to invite you to check out the new Wikimedia Foundation funding strategy relaunch page. https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Start
I look forward to getting to know each other better and sharing more detailed information about the committee.
Regards,
THasan (WMF) (talk) 04:40, 29 July 2021 (UTC)

Sorry, but, i'm not really confident with my english speaking skill. So i prefer to have a chat-based conversation instead of online meetings. I'm free right now. You can reach me on Telegram https://t.me/Altilunium Rtnf (talk) 04:52, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
Leadership Development Working Group: Reminder to apply by 10 April 2022 Edit
Hello, I'm reaching out to you today as you've previously expressed interest in Movement Strategy and Governance-related topics. I was hoping to share the below message with you and your talk page guests, as the call for applications for this working group ends soon.
The Community Development team at the Wikimedia Foundation is supporting the creation of a global, community-driven Leadership Development Working Group. The purpose of the working group is to advise leadership development work. Feedback was collected in February 2022 and a summary of the feedback is on Meta-wiki. The application period to join the Working Group is now open and is closing soon on April 10, 2022. Please review the information about the working group, share with community members who might be interested, and apply if you are interested.
Thank you in advance for your consideration =) Xeno (WMF) (talk) 01:24, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
Wikisporadic Newsletter: September 2022 Edit
Wikisporadic, an Occasional Newsletter for our Germinating Community.
- Oral knowledge We held a session on oral knowledge and Wikispore as part of Options Space at Wikimedia Summit 2022 in Berlin, looking at options with several African affiliates to link out to cultural topics from Wikipedia(s). Some African communities are already doing oral knowledge documentation like the Nigerian community working on oral history as well as the growing Mozambican community working on oral history documentation in Makhuwa language. This is a way to provide more sources as well as digitize some oral parts of their history.
- Wikidata integration There is a plan to install the new UnlinkedWikibase extension, advancing the vision of Wikisprout and full Wikidata integration such as use in infoboxes.
- Movement strategy Using the Cargo and related extensions on Wikispore, work is underway to create a demo of Movement Strategy activities, adapting Baserow data from Wikimedia Summit.
- Halloween event As a Wikidata 10th Birthday event, there is hope to collaborate at the end of October with Wiki Cemeteries User Group on Grave Spore (see discussion), for maps and in-depth coverage of individual graves.
