Hello Reo On,

I see you are listed as a translator for cs:. would like to talk to you about helping distribute announcements (such as Wikimania notices :) to the cs: community, getting feedback from the community, and translating these. Please let me know if you're interested in helping with this. Cheers, Sj 20:38, 3 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Babel Template edit

Hi there,

Per Meta:Requests_for_deletion#Template:User_language, the old template has been replaced and will soon be deleted once it has been removed. It has been replaced with the new {{#babel}} extension. If you have a look at User language - can you see what you need to do to fix it in your box?

Thanks,

Thehelpfulone

Thank You Thehelpfulone for fixing it. It's OK with me as long, as the extension is not breaking down the page as it is. I am aware of the new babel extension for some time. Great that someone was taking care on the level of Mediawiki - to think about those nuancies, nevertheless I was wondering, why actually? Weren't the templates working just fine? And even if now the babel extension is in place, isn't the deletion of the origianl templates unnecessary? (It will breake history of the User pages).
Nevertheless, those are just curious thought, no sweat about it :). Thanks for the help with the layout. --Reo On|+|+ 19:37, 7 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Fundraising translation feedback edit

Hey Reo On,

I wanted to ask for your help. As you may be aware we have been running banners on many language wikis. We have a lot of new content this year and I really want to conduct a thorough review of our translations. This is a combination of feedback from the community, readers, donors as well as those with professional translator experience. This will help us ensure the highest quality of translations used in our messaging.

To help us out with this I wonder if you would be willing to give us feedback for Polish using This Link

Simply follow the simple instructions on that page and if you have any questions feel free to contact me on my talk page.

Many Thanks

Letter petitioning WMF to reverse recent decitions edit

The Wikimedia Foundation recently created a new feature, "superprotect" status. The purpose is to prevent pages from being edited by elected administrators -- but permitting WMF staff to edit them. It has been put to use in only one case: to protect the deployment of the Media Viewer software on German Wikipedia, in defiance of a clear decision of that community to disable the feature by default, unless users decide to enable it.

If you oppose these actions, please add your name to this letter. If you know non-Wikimedians who support our vision for the free sharing of knowledge, and would like to add their names to the list, please ask them to sign an identical version of the letter on change.org.

I'm notifying you because you participated in one of several relevant discussions. -Pete F (talk) 22:18, 20 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
