TWL follow up edit

Hello, just wanted to follow up with you from Stewards/Elections_2023/Questions#What_is_your_approach_to_the_issue_that_(unfounded)_blocks_in_one_project_interfere_on_other_wikimedia_projects?. If you decided to try to contact TWL people about getting that tool unlocked and would share the results of that appeal - we can possibly update some documentation to help anyone else in that situation. — xaosflux Talk 17:26, 22 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

The TWL clerk Samwalton9 (WMF) was very tolerant and helpful at the time and granted me access right away. Of course I'll agree into making this communication accessible to anyone who is able to help other editors in my situation. The relevant email communication I found was between the 7 and and 9 February 2021. I also found this diff of the 1 March 2021 where I told Sam that I was able to access the Wikipedia library.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 18:16, 22 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Paradise Chronicle good news! I don't need a copy of the email - just trying to look for anywhere we can improve directions for other with similar problems, but wanted to make sure it wasn't a broken process first. Thank you for the reply. — xaosflux Talk 19:12, 22 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Your question on SE 2024 edit

Hi Paradise Chronicle, please note that the Election Committee decided to strike your question on steward elections. Please remember that the questions must be relevant to the stewards' tasks (as indicated in the guidelines and in the instructions on SE/Q). Thanks for your understanding and best regards! Superpes15 (talk) 14:45, 19 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Well, but the question actually refers to quoted and linked task by a steward. I want to know what I did wrong. No edit had to be reverted at the time. I was reverting an anti-Kurdish and eventually blocked editor/IP just days before.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 22:03, 19 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Superpes15 Could you at least link to the relevant discussion so we can see what was seen as wrong? Paradise Chronicle (talk) 22:09, 19 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Uhm personally, I'm not talking on behalf of ElectCom rn, I don't see what a steward can do. It's a local issue (even if on more projects) but a steward can only take note of the local blocks and can't interfere. You also prompted the question, what response do you expect from a steward candidate (or current steward), I don't see any solution honestly. Also, if you were locally reported by a steward, it's not a steward action (but a report made by a simple user, since it's not a steward duty, as I can do on every project without any alleged "power"). Please, let's focus on steward stuff, thanks Superpes15 (talk) 22:30, 19 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
