Nov ialiste~metawiki
Hi Nov ialiste!
A while ago, you posted a request for a Novial Wikipedia. I just noticed you're still working on the test wiki from time to time. Your request was pretty well accepted by the community and could by considered approved in principle. However, for any new Wikipedia to be created it is necessary to have at least two native speakers willing and able to contribute. With a constructed language like Novial, that's not possible, of course. Hence my question: is there a second potential contributor with a good knowledge of the Novial language? Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi, although I'm the main contributor at least 2 other experienced Novialists have contributed also: BRG and Novialist (the latter a different person from me).
One other contributor appears to be an Esperantist who's been learning Novial.

- Thanks for the info. IMHO, that should be solid enough a basis for starting a new wiki. I left a message about this at Talk:Requests for new languages. If nobody objects, your request can be declared "approved" some time in the next days. Good luck! - ARBE0 17:04, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- Great, thanks!! Nov ialiste 17:09, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
Translation and Flag
editYour welcome. I choosed not to use the flag, because some languages are not only spoken on unıque country. For example if you use German Flag for German translation, Swiss people or Austrian people may not like this because their language is german too. ;) --Dbl2010 23:12, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
- Yes. I had to choose a flag for the English language. On the internet usually the USA or UK flag is used, sometimes combined half and half (but I don't have an image and it would not look good as a small image). Anyway, I put the UK flag. If anybody complains I would suggest the English flag (Cross of St. George) for the English language. That might surprise and annoy some people :).
- Anyway if the language name corresponds to a country's name most people make the connection. Nov ialiste 02:09, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
editHello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Nov ialiste. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Nov ialiste~metawiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
