Vote page protection

I prefer to abide to another meta sysop decision, thus I'd rather avoid protecting the page, since the final decision is a Board matter. --M/ 13:46, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

While I agree with you that mo.wp should be closed (the sooner the better), I must tell you that such a decision is not taken by counting votes. Wikipedia is not a democracy -- you've probably been told that before. The number of support/oppose votes is only partly relevant, in particular when the ratio is far from 1, not the case in the mo.wp issue. What really matters is the arguments that were brought by the two opposing sides. If you repeat reverting that page and calling "vandalism" other people's edits, you will be considered a vandal yourself and it might even further delay the Board's decision on the matter. — AdiJapan ☎ 01:45, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for your interest in cleaning up our noticeboard, but it is the noticeboard for sysops, and you are not the right person to decide a thread is closed in my opinion.
