Small-project notes
Hiya Mxn, I used to end my addresses with galactic and universe coordiantes...
Would you be interested in writing a short review of changes to small language projects, perhaps once a month? An update on what those projects are doing, which are active, which users have joined in with enthusiasm. Let me know, Sj 18:48, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

Thanks and invitation
Thank you very much for opposing the Simple English Wikibooks closure that was proposed on m:Proposals for closing projects. I see that you've been a contributor there in the past, which is really great. We would love it if you became active here again. I know you're probably busy on vi.wikipedia and here on meta, but what do you say? --Cromwellt|talk|contris 06:52, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

- Coolness! We'll be happy to have you when you get the chance! --Cromwellt|talk|contris 00:06, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Trust in Wikipedia
this is Cathy from Hong Kong working on a research about trust on Wikipedia. I wonder if you would kindly contact me at researchingmedia@gmail.com? I'd like to chat with you about Wikipedia of your language. Would you kindly drop me your email or IM (Skype, MSN, AIM or ICQ)? It wouldn't take more than ten minutes, but it would help enormously for us to understand the overall trust-based social landscape of Wikipedia. Thank you! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cma (talk • contribs) 02:00, 19 June 2006 (UTC).

Category tree for IS
Thanks for your pointer, it did indeed work, I'm not sure what I did wrong earlier. I'll look into translating it in the future. --130.208.137.132 20:41, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
Election notice
Hi Mxn, I hope you are enjoying summer holidays. I found recently there was no Vietnamese translation of Election notice. Last year there had been a translation. Since Vietnamese Wikipedia is one of top 40 Wikipedias, I guess there are some numbers of eligible voters (and theoretically editors who can claim candidacy). Would you have an interest to inform the Vietnamese speaking community about the Election? --Aphaia 09:46, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
Translation into Vietnamese
Hi Minh, i am looking for the vietnamese page Wikipedia:Translation into Vietnamese There is no interwikilink on en:Wikipedia:Translation into English. Reg. Mion 23:11, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- See User talk:Mion.
Thanks Minh, I made a request to translate Wikipedia:Translation into English on the guestpage to a Vietnamese version for interwikilinking. We have to start at the beginning. reg.Mion 16:56, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- See User talk:Mion.
Hoi Minh. i made the request on the requested articles page, now about the other page, translation by language, its a perpect page to attract translators by language, most translators are only interested in the section they are srtong in anyway, its difficult enough to kickstart the translator group, in dutch we made a line on the welcome template, like have alook at the page "requested articles" and the page "articles to translate", which changed the contributions from 1 in 4 days to 4 on 1 day. a bit better. ,ok, thanks for the help, reg. Mion 20:55, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

Hello Minh, I agree, nice system, a ticket system, however, you can't control the amount of resources, aka the number and activity of translators, so, with a ticket system you're sending out expectations about delivery time for the translation, in reality, the translator will take an article that appeals, some articles take 1 to 2 years. Secondly, there are users on interwiki familiar with the interwiki system about translation and will request quickly on a similar format, (which will trigger vietnamese translators to respond) anyway, another option is to do both, let the ticket system retrieve the information from the request for translation page. Well, feel free and wikiwiki.Mion 00:06, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

He Minh, About:The ticket system will take care of displaying it for, say, two weeks, and then it'll get archived if no one displays interest in starting the translation. I think the 2 weeks are to short, if translators go on holiday, or start a new job they might be inactive for a few months and then return, common is to archive them after 1 year, good thing would be that translators will clean up their own section, say French to Vietnamese, because they feel responsible for the language they are translating in. Just give it a go, usually someone stands up and takes care of the page. reg vi:Thành viên:Mion.
Dag Minh,
If its any help from the top 10 the french is the most advanced fr:Projet:Traduction/Demandes, (and the most active, before I dropped 20+ articles in the list there where almost no red links on the page) the most friendly top template for foreign visitors in this top ten is the dutch page: nl:Wikipedia:Vertalen naar het Nederlands. reg . -:).Mion 11:59, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
I forgot to mention: The Dutch version/page is a mess because comments are added on the page itself, the french solved it by creating a proper protocol fr:Projet:Traduction/Protocole de traduction, moving translations in progress to fr:Projet:Traduction/Traductions/En cours for proofreading, (it was ment to work but not everybody knows it). and creating the templates for the translators to prevent deletion of the article in an early stage of the translation. fr:Modèle:Traduction en cours for more templates fr:Catégorie:Projet Traduction,.
The whole setup is very inviting, sort of: Welcome to the translator corner, please fasten your seatbelts, and welcome to the club. reg. Mion 13:53, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
"Transbabel" template
Hi, Mxn, would you like to put Transbabel besides babel templates? It indicate you as so-and-so lang combo translators and help to generate a translator list automatically.
Thank you for your consideration! --Aphaia 17:17, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Saludos amigo (asking your advance)
Greetings from Cambodia. Sorry I disturbe you. I just have created a template for the Khmer language:
km-1 | ភាសាខ្មែរភាសាខ្មែរ-1ភាសាខ្មែរភាសាខ្មែរភាសាខ្មែរ |
I would like to know your opinion and how I can improve it. By the way I am from Colombia and I work in Cambodia, near Vietnam.

Vandalism
You added this message to my talk page: "Please stop interfering with the voting process at Wikimedia Meta-Wiki. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing this wiki. – Minh Nguyễn (talk, contribs) 03:21, 23 October 2006 (UTC)" So...uh...what? - Yeah, I was having problems that day with the session timing out and quitting in the middle. I didn't realize it did that. One time I actually did try to revert it but it only made it worse. Could someone lend my support to the tiles logo for Wiktionary? Someoneinmyheadbutit'snotme 11:02, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

Colon
Hi, Mxn, there is an issue with : [[1]], i suppose the cloacked contribution from en:User:213.60.66.199 comes from the tech section, which i can't check, so maybe the better way is to go through meta and request every wiki to mention it in the naming/technical restrictions. My question on this is, what would be a proper place on meta to do so ? reg. Mion 19:51, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Kinyarwanda
Hi, I was looking at the statistics -- can you tell me where the language names come from? Kinyarwanda should be "Kinyarwanda" in English, and "Ikinyarwanda" in Ikinyarwanda ... Robert Ullmann 11:52, 1 November 2006 (UTC) (rw.wikt sysop, rw:User talk:Robert Ullmann)
Unpatrolled edits
Hi Mxn. Note that your edits aren't being flagged as patrolled now; you can change this in your preferences (Preferences > Editing > "Mark edits I make as patrolled"). I'd like and appreciate it if you toggled that. :) -- mzlla 22:11, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

Wikipedia portal
Hello! Thanks for adding on Chinese to the search bar, but could you change "搜尋" to "搜索" which appears the same in both traditional and simplified. The search was pointing to the Swedish Wikipedia, maybe change it to
<option value="zh" lang="zh" xml:lang="zh">中文</option>
. Also maybe switch to pt "Busca" followed by sv "Sök", and perhaps change them into a single line? I don't know how to change them into a single line, but everything else is done on Www.wikipedia.org template/temp. If it is convenient with you, please synchronise the two. Thank you again! --Shibo77 23:15, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
