Please post talk to my User talk page at the English Wikipedia instead of here.
GerardM
editA better place to bring it up would be Meta:Babel. Majorly talk 15:23, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you for your note. The dicussion of Gerard's admin actions was already ongoing at Talk:Public speakers. Per this diff, that's where Daniel decided to start the discussion. As a long-time meta admin, I assume he knows what he's doing. Mike R 15:25, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, but continuing with an inappropriate forum isn't helping in the midst of an active discussion, it's derailing it, and Daniel wasn't correct in bringing Gerard's issue up there; perhaps it happened in the moment. You're compounding it by adding new threads about Gerard on Talk:Public speakers that are unrelated to his role as a public speaker. --David Shankbone 15:32, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for raising the issues connected with GerardM blocking me. 87.254.84.181 13:13, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
I suggest that a new thread at Meta:Babel, or at WM:RFH be started, as the edit warring wasn't going to accomplish much other than potentially getting more people blocked. The topic is important and shouldn't get derailed by side issues. ++Lar: t/c 15:46, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
Why did you make this edit [1] - seem to me to be a recurring request? I'm going to undo that edit (before I forget), but if there's a reason for removing it that I have missed feel free to revert me. Best regards, Finn Rindahl 21:38, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, misread the diff - now I see you only removed the link to the deleted user subpage... Finn Rindahl 21:41, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
editHello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called TacoDeposit. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name TacoDeposit~metawiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
