Tetum localization for Whatredirectshere

Hi MF-Warburg, thank you very much for your translation of Whatredirectshere in Tetum! I've now uploaded it to http://tools.wikimedia.de/~tangotango/whatredirectshere.php?lang=tet, and it is available via that link and via the language selector that appears at the top of the tool. Please take a look and see if anything is amiss.

Also, as you might notice, some portions of the interface are not yet translated. This is because they are in a separate language file called "general", which is shared across all my tools. If possible, could you please translate this file too? The code for this file is:

$lang['gen_error'] = 'Error';
$lang['gen_db-connect-error'] = 'Could not connect to database server (it may be down); Error was: ';
$lang['gen_db-select-error'] = 'Could not select database (The database you selected may be non-existent); Error was: ';
$lang['gen_welcome'] = 'Welcome';
$lang['gen_invalid_dbname'] = 'Patently invalid database name';

$lang['gen_nonexistent_wiki'] = 'The project you selected is either non-existent or is not replicated to the toolserver.';
$lang['gen_query_failed'] = 'The SQL query failed with the following error: ';
$lang['gen_query_failed_badrowcount'] = 'The SQL query did not return the correct number of rows.';

Once again, thank you very, very much! - Tangotango 12:11, 17 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thank you so much for the translation! I've posted the general language file, as well as the new Whatredirectshere localization, to the toolserver. Please take a look to see if everything is as you accepted. Cheers, Tangotango 15:49, 17 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wikischliessungen

In Hektik, --Johannes Rohr 12:46, 21 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ja, weiß ich schon. MF-Warburg(de) 16:15, 21 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

In Inkubator verschieben.

Hi,

About Herero Wikipedia

Hi MF-Warburg! I want to ask, what happened to the Herero wiki? I known that maybe is a good idea to move some articles to the incubator, it's ok; but these days I tried to access to the Herero Incubator and I can't, the link is not funtional. Please, see what is happening? =s --Kanon6917 17:10, 28 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello Kanon6917! The Herero Test-WP will be created soon incubator:Wp/hz will be the location, but there are saome plroblems, but you can expect the Test-wp until 3 days, I think. Best regards MF-Warburg(de) 17:30, 28 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
go to incubator:Special:Prefixindex/Wp/hz. there you can see all the pages. Note that in Incubator all Herero Wikipedia page titles start with Wp/hz. See also incubator:Help:Tips_for_working_with_prefixes. --MF-Warburg(de) 05:54, 13 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposals for closing projects/Closure of Siberian Wikipedia

Seiten an. Naja.
--Obersachse 16:23, 9 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Ah ja. Und was schlägst du vor? Ich geh jetzt auf die Seite, schreibe I propose to close this discussion within 4 days from now, if there are no other opinions und kündige dann das Ergebnis an.
Deswegen hält man im Westen lieber still.
Also, habt Mut und entscheidet. --Obersachse 17:05, 9 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I just posted the source code here for your perusal. The bot is written in Python, and you need to put the two files in a directory containing a working installation of pywikipedia. (i.e., inside the pywikipedia directory). Cheers, Tangotango 12:37, 3 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi MF-Warburg. As I didn't intend to release the source code in the first place, I wrote that by force of habit. You can consider it released under the terms of the MIT License. If you are modifying Dellie to introduce a new feature to add {{delete}} to pages, could I see the source code when you're finished please? Thanks, Tangotango 00:54, 13 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Move to Incubator?

Rather than moving Wikis to incubator before they are locked by a developer, please wait so that we do not have two concurrent Wikis running. Also please kindly let votes run longer. --Node ue 14:27, 13 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Also please consider appropriate solutions for individual Wikis. For example, Chamorro Wiki could probably be easily helped by blanking and protecting w/index.php and such pages, and if necesssary main page could be protected as well (although I doubt it is needed). Eventuality principle has been working for small Wikis for ages, the idea is it is easier for someone to add to something that already exists than to propose to start something that doesn't yet. --Node ue 14:30, 13 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Please, ch: was created in July 2004, according to Main Page history. It has had its chance. MF-Warburg(de)
"It has had its chance"? What sort of an attitude is this!? It takes time for Wikis to develop. An attitude such as yours is extremely unhelpful.

Resurrection/hijacking of the Herero Wikipedia as a sort of personal hosting space

FYI, this Wikipedia has now been resurrected and hijacked to support a constructed language called "Wikihero" and a number of Turkish related pages have been added; see Special:Allpages now. Also note this new infobox and text added today to the en:Herero language article (since reverted). --A. B. (talk) 14:05, 22 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Volapük Wikipedia II

Hi MF-Warburg,
Despite the end of the voting on the Proposals for closing projects/Closure of Volapük Wikipedia, I added a link to a new List of Wikipedias by sample of articles that I've been working on as an alternative to article count. I thought it would be a good idea to put a link there because of the criticism in the discussion on article count as a parameter for ranking Wikipeidas; I wanted to show a possible alternative to any discussion participants who might be interested. But if it is too late to add anything to the discussion, let me know and I'll remove it. --Smeira 16:54, 7 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Can you please update the bot to write on Steward requests/Speedy deletions/Bot-reported in line with the new naming convention. When you do that, Multilingual speedy deletions/Bot-reported and Multilingual speedy deletions/Bot-reported/Header should be moved (with their talk pages). Dellieplagiat not running

Hello, I pressume you are operating Dellieplagiat, the bot that takes !delete etc. on #cvn-sw. It is not avaible at the moment and it would be fine, if you could start it again, cause putting {{delete}} per Hand on all pages that should be deleted isn't fun... - Hoo man 19:53, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

It's back online again, thanks ;-) - Hoo man 20:13, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Another isue regarding your BOT... it's now up and taking !deletes, but it doesn't update the list over here (!status says: "Last update Tue 15:58:48 | Last prune Thu 11:24:28 | Now Thu 11:58:22 | 1 items on list | 15 new items queued"). I already tried to force it to update the list using !update but it doesn't work either... - Hoo man 11:59, 1 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

It seems the bot was not logged in anymore and therefore wasn't able to update the list anymore as it doesn't edit anonymously. I let the bot add those pages that were scheduled for deletion during the outtime and still exist with no reasonable content. --MF-W 18:35, 1 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for fixing it again ;-) - Hoo man 20:36, 1 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Once again you BOT is not updating the list... (Status: "Last update Mon 19:27:16 | Last prune Tue 13:34:49 | Now Tue 13:35:52 | 2 items on list | 11 new items queued") - Hoo man 13:36, 6 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have to disturb you once again... your bot doesn't update the on wiki list again. (Status: "Last update Fri 00:27:09 | Last prune Fri 00:25:08 | Now Fri 19:21:10 | 2 items on list | 8 new items queued") - Hoo man 19:24, 9 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I had the same problem two times in August, and it's the same today. I noticed that the command !update does not work too. Probably is it linked to the fact that Dellie doesn't update on-wiki list ? -- Quentinv57 14:13, 4 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
Well, normally, it does work, however once a problem with page names with special charachters arises, the bot stops adding pages until it is restarted. I'm trying to fix this problem. --MF-W 19:59, 4 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
Okay, thanks. Good luck :) -- Quentinv57 09:06, 5 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hello

Why are you changing the list? To ask for delete in all the wikis minus one (in one should ask for local permission) it's the form? Writing a long list? --Emporio2012 18:26, 17 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Which list are you talking about? --MF-W 21:12, 17 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
Hi. This page lists. What kind of cases is it used for? --Emporio2012 20:37, 20 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
The list's header says: This section is for reports filed via Kimberley-nia Bot on the SWMT's IRC channel #cvn-sw (bot's irc nick is Dellieplagiat). SWMT members usually make the bot add a pages if it is vandalism that should be deleted on wikis with only a few or no active administrators. If you want to add such vandalized pages on the list, please follow the formatting that is prescribed there. --MF-W 20:52, 20 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Bot header

Hello. Could be possible to set the bot to respect this page format? Otherwise the heading of that page transcludes bad at Steward requests/Speedy deletions and it's a bit confusing. Thank you, -- Dferg ☎ talk 13:26, 11 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Done by putting the headline into the transcluded header (the bot didn't need the line, but if it was there, it was always put below the header as nothing should be above the header...) (example of how it works now). --MF-W 19:22, 12 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
Thank you, -- Dferg ☎ talk 23:46, 12 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
Hi! Moving the section header to /Header means that it's not possible to edit the bot-reported list by simply clicking the section edit link anymore. Would it be possible to move the header back to the /Bot-reported subpage? Jafeluv 09:04, 25 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Of course it is, by reverting the change described above (i.e. putting the headline back to where it formerly was). --MF-W 19:25, 29 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
And how about adding an edit link on the subpage, rather than disrupting the style of the page? :-) -- Dferg ☎ talk 19:27, 29 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
How does it disrupt the style of the page? I would expect a section edit link to take me to the actual section, not a subpage. Jafeluv 19:38, 29 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Oh, and well, it's added on the text too since it's creation so... -- Dferg ☎ talk 19:28, 29 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Other things are he locked CSS due to that on the same site there are lot of font styles appeared there. He is not able to set commonCSS or Monocss. We are in trouble to work in our local Sindhi language. I don't know where to say for this problem. Record history says all the situation there. New wikis importers

Hello, now that this is officially policy I think it's better if you "request" (confirm) the flag through the usual steward request process, as everyone else will have to. Just a formalism, but no harm in it. Thanks, Nemo 22:00, 25 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I agree as I got the flag at first only temporarily for one import that needed to be done and as a kind of test for the group. I will add a request on SRGP. --MF-W 22:05, 25 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
