Uncortunately, this doesnt answer my question. Why is a role account necessary, instead of individual accounts operated by the community members?

Role accounts are a big issue in terms of accountability for one's action. They're tolerated for some purposes where it is necessary (such as, on-wiki email interface to contact holders of a particular group), but they shouldn't be used for editing. --Martin Urbanec (talk) 23:06, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
