Hi, Jdforrester. Thank you for your using Babel templates. Your humor makes me laugh very much. I add a new template for 1st language speaker and probably English is your first language, or not? If so, would you like to use [[Template:User en]] instead of [[Template:User en-3]]?

Don't vote in suspended polls

It would be nice if you were less condescending -- I was pretty sure that "don't give your opinions" was warning people against writing an op/ed piece or saying "I think...", rather than casting a vote. How do you know my vote coincided with my opinion? Perhaps I was voting strategically? And besides that, you should be grateful that I fixed the fact that most of the parts of the poll linked to the same place to cast "for" votes for a single proposal, rather than the appropriate position for the appropriate proposal. --Node ue 16:00, 1 September 2005 (UTC)

Wikimedia UK

You have expressed an interest in Wikimedia UK. Just to let you know I've posted a draft Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association of the proposed "Wikimedia UK" charitable company on Wikimedia UK/Memorandum of Association and Wikimedia UK/Articles of Association. It is proposed that these will receive initial approval by interested parties at a meeting on 27 November. I will put together a brief agenda for the more formal aspects of that meeting soon. Memo and Arts of Association are a company's constitution, and need to be agreed before the company is formed (though they can be changed at a later date). Please feel free to comment on the relevant talk pages (I'd rather the proposed drafts are left unedited so that it is easy to see what is going on) - particularly if there is something there that you would disagree with at the meeting, details of which can be found on the Wikimedia UK page on Wikimedia Meta-Wiki. Hi, I just had a quick look at your PDF of the proposed AoA and see that Jguk's first go at section 9(2) is still in there. This was discussed at on the talk page and it seems that there may be a problem with this wording. Could you lease with Jguk and see if a solution can be found? I would do something more proactive but I'm at a confrence for the next week and moving house. If you want me to do something about this let me know but I may not get anything done before Christmas! You need to follow the steps on IRC channel cloaks (that is, register your account, register a second one, and link them together, and set an email) before I can do anything, I'm afraid.

Wikimedia Research Network Meeting

Hey James. I'm a long time Wikimedian but new to the Wikimedia Research Network. I noticed that the network had kind of gone stale lately and I'm looking to revive it. I've scheduled a meeting for Saturday the 17th of June, at 19:00 UTC, on the channel #wikimedia-research on irc.freenode.net. See Wikiday for time conversion.
