Hi Greg, I think I remember you from Wikipedia, if not I still congratulate you on your appointment to such a prestigious and challenging positions. I am currently playing with v:Lunar Boom Town and eventually we will need to do some data collection to help sort out how to best improve our suite of simulation games and role playing exercises. So I will be around and eventually back unless someone else solves all my personal research interests by accident. Could happen I guess! 8) chase you later 188.8.131.52 02:22, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
Hi Greg, I am a relative newbie to WikiVersity, I am currently fleshing out the Artificial Consciousness course Which I hope to make a definitive statement about the current state of the art in Artificial Consciousness. However I am not at all sure that my own research into artificial consciousness would fit, nor that my research methods are up to WikiMedia's standards. What I would like to do, is open up a research institute to promote research on artificial consciousness. I call it tenatively the GreySmith Institute of Advanced Studies. I envision a Neuropsychology department, a Computing Science Department, and eventually a Research and Development Department (Although that would probably wait for funding since most development research would need to be done outside the Wiki environment.) The idea would be to gather a community of researchers who are interested in the topic, and supply them with a forum for their ideas, a repository for papers, A Library where they can access books on the subject, and perhaps some courseware based around theoretical aspects in the research being done. The idea would be to eventually publish some of the papers in peer reviewed journals, using the Institute as my affiliation, which would also tend to advertise wikiVersity as a research center. The research documentation suggested you as the first place to call.--Graeme E. Smith 00:31, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
