Re: Research Team Category
editI've replied on my talk.
Research project template
editThanks for the research project template guys! It is great and adds a lot to the readability of the pages! :) SalimJah 09:13, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
Re: Oral Citations project
editI've added an entry for the Oral Citations project into the research index, and I think it's now all in line with the format. But if not, will you let me know or tell me what else I need to do? Thanks. Update: the research template doesn't exactly fit this project, whose use and function is more an evolving project itself, rather than a closed loop. I'll keep the original headings for now, since the same information is available there, and we can reconsider headings and the template at a later stage if you and others still feel it is required.
--DarTar (talk) 14:14, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
Search visits
editWe've not trusted Alexa for a long time now, but it seems to have strong opinions about wikipedia.org: «Search Visits 49.00% (–18.00%)» [1]. Any reason to believe something so drastic happened in June? --Nemo 11:37, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
- According to comScore data (which is subject to many caveats on how they estimate pageviews), referred traffic to Wikimedia properties worldwide has dropped by 14% between July 2013 and July 2014 (-36% in the US). We have generated and are currently analyzing historical data on referred traffic based on the sampled request logs. I expect we'll have an update on this some time in October (subject to other priorities). PS: Note that my staff account is now User:Dario (WMF), you should ping me there for work-related questions or I may miss notifications --DarTar (talk) 16:59, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
- Great, it will be very interesting to read the results of your research. Sorry for using the wrong account, will remember next time. --Nemo 17:38, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
WikiCite 2016
editJust a thought: some of the participant organizations have (or recently had) a w:en:Wikipedia:Wikipedian-in-Residence, as listed here. It might be worth pinging these individuals to see if they're interested in attending. LeadSongDog (talk) 17:36, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
- Any thoughts on this? LeadSongDog (talk) 03:51, 6 April 2016 (UTC)
Grazie ancora e a presto,
The 2021 Community Wishlist Survey is now open! This survey is the process where communities decide what the Community Tech team should work on over the next year. We encourage everyone to submit proposals until the deadline on 30 November, or comment on other proposals to help make them better. The communities will vote on the proposals between 8 December and 21 December.
The Community Tech team is focused on tools for experienced Wikimedia editors. You can write proposals in any language, and we will translate them for you. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing your proposals!
18:25, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
We invite all registered users to vote on the 2021 Community Wishlist Survey. You can vote from now until 21 December for as many different wishes as you want.
In the Survey, wishes for new and improved tools for experienced editors are collected. After the voting, we will do our best to grant your wishes. We will start with the most popular ones.
We, the Community Tech, are one of the Wikimedia Foundation teams. We create and improve editing and wiki moderation tools. What we work on is decided based on results of the Community Wishlist Survey. Once a year, you can submit wishes. After two weeks, you can vote on the ones that you're most interested in. Next, we choose wishes from the survey to work on. Some of the wishes may be granted by volunteer developers or other teams.
We are waiting for your votes. Thank you!
