- Hello and thanks a bunch for your copy-editing but... unfortunately, it goes way beyond copy-editing. I know the English was quite poor to start with, and in some parts you have done a great job at clarifying it, but you also have introduced things that were not there at all, whether due to the lack of information in the translation or to the lack of background in the culture those bylaws come from. Such notions as a "board of directors" are highly country-based and do not exist or do not make sense in other cultures or countries. By copy-editing too close to what you are no doubt very familiar with, you seem to have added positions (secretary was never talked about in the original version for example) and changed rules (added an "emancipated minor" clause to being elected on the board of directors when the age stipulated might not mean emancipated minor in Sweden). In short, your version has changed the legal letter of those bylaws. I am going to have to revert you in part, and I am very sorry about it, because it no doubt meant a great deal of work on your part. I hope to save most of the clarifications you have made as those were indeed sorely needed. Best. notafish }<';> 10:23, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- Done. I did keep a lot of your copy/editing, but re-introduced the gaps, inacuracies and local phrasings that were there. We want the English version to match as closely as possible the Swedish version. Most of your comments and changes would have been great on the talk page rather than directly on the text ;-). Anyway. Thank you again for your help and insight. notafish }<';> 11:42, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
