Reset a count?

top 10 links shows me iqinterior.ru with 5k+ links, however, it would seem that it was a spam addition to a template (not showing up anywhere as a link). I have waited a couple of days to see if the link count will self-clear, however, nada. Is there a means to have the link reset/recalculate/ I am definitely not going to 'clear' or 'do not count' the beast. Thanks.  — billinghurst sDrewth 11:25, 7 December 2014 (UTC)

Hmm .. no, probably not through IRC. I will see if I can manually wipe it in the files. Will however pop up again when s.o. adds it again - a counted domain which surpasses a certain threshold (see settings) results in LiWa3 saving the link to a datafile. The command 'top # links' reads the datafile, sorts it and spews out the top # (while wiping duplicates, keeping only the highest count at the time of the 'top' command in a backup). I will consider a 'reset top <domain>' command or similar. --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 18:04, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
I think it is completely gone .. if files don't magically reappear as they sometimes have a tendency to do on tools (which I think is the reason for the strange logouts of the bots). --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 18:10, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
To note that I cannot get the top links to operate at all in irc. Also to note that we are down to LiWa3_3 only in channels. The others have disappeared and I cannot get them to reappear via command to COIBot.  — billinghurst sDrewth 02:50, 25 January 2015 (UTC)

Issue at amWP

Per the conversation at w:am:User talk:Codex Sinaiticus this matter has now been resolved through a reversal.  — billinghurst sDrewth 02:24, 25 January 2015 (UTC)

Hmm .. thanks. --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 03:22, 25 January 2015 (UTC)

COIBot poke page

Hi. It seems that User:COIBot/Poke is not working. The links reported over there ain't processed and we get no reports. Best regards. -- M\A 12:39, 25 January 2015 (UTC)

Bot was logged out - I logged it back in (I hope we do not get again thát cycle .. where it logs out all the time). --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 03:29, 27 January 2015 (UTC)

COIBot not logging edits

FYI. COIBot is in IRC and reporting that it is undertaking reports, however, nothing is being written to meta. Thanks.  — billinghurst sDrewth 10:11, 26 January 2015 (UTC)

And again, presumably related to the migration on labs. Present and talking in IRC, nothing writing to meta. 12:57, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

No, this was the end of the month - bot gets automatically logged out after 1 month. I logged it back in. --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 10:28, 2 March 2015 (UTC)

Lost it again. Not sure whether it is due to Labs issues but they did some stuff earlier today.  — billinghurst sDrewth 11:23, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

The bot was completely dead - the others restarted on the 15th, but COIBot refused that apparently. Fixified! --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 16:42, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

Seems that COIBot has got logged out again. It says it is writing to the wiki, though nothing seems to occur. It would have disappeared c.0:00 UTC. Thanks if you can have a look.  — billinghurst sDrewth 11:15, 6 June 2015 (UTC)

Yep, logged out. Logged it back in just now - should be back with the first save in a minute or so. --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 10:26, 8 June 2015 (UTC)

Domains to purge from COIBot's link count

Hi. When you have a chance would you be so kind to reset the counts for derefer.unbubble.eu and movie-do.net They show up in "top 10 links" though have all been cleared out and I need a removal without a cleansing from watching. Thanks.  — billinghurst sDrewth 12:53, 7 July 2015 (UTC)

You can do a 'do not count' on them. They will still show up in the linkfeeds (and redlisting them will trigger warning messages), though will not trigger reports (which likely will not happen anyway if now a second editor is starting to use the link, the statistics will only notice them if they have low numbers). Even reporting does not work as the number of entries is too large.
Your safest bet is to have a page with a record of such cases (the en.wikipedia en:WT:WPSPAM is used mainly as record keeping), the 'tracking' (what links to the COIBot reports) would show you that a certain case has been handled before (you could use the COIBot xwiki report for that), just list them on a sandbox page, or make it into a collaborative effort like WPSPAM, and you just every now and then go through the list and see where it is linked cross-wiki etc. --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 06:34, 8 July 2015 (UTC)

LiWa bots

Hi Beetstra. It looks like the LiWa bots (the ones that shows which links have been added, spam detections) have crashed since today. Could you reboot them? Thanks :). Jr Mime (talk) 23:46, 17 July 2015 (UTC)

I noticed, and I don't see anything in my logs that explains it. I have restarted them (will check again). --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 13:09, 22 July 2015 (UTC)
It crashed again on 21 .. no clue why. --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 13:14, 22 July 2015 (UTC)

Xlinkbot

In IRC #wikipedia-en-spam is throwing the occasional <XLinkBot> I've become logged-out on Wikipedia, reverting disabled ( https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=674234003&oldid=659956052 ; \byoutube\.com -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UQJOz1cg9A). and there is no apparent reverts since 29 July. I hope that you can give it a shake. Thx.  — billinghurst sDrewth 15:26, 2 August 2015 (UTC)

Yep .. it got logged out :-D .. thanks for the heads up. --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 10:55, 3 August 2015 (UTC)

COIBot not working since 8 Aug.

Hi Beetstra. I guess the bot logged out, because it is not reporting on meta since 8 August. Can you please restart it? Thanks! —MarcoAurelio 13:30, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

Hmm .. I've logged it back in, hope this helped. --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 03:37, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
Yes it did. It's up now. Thanks. —MarcoAurelio 13:42, 11 August 2015 (UTC)

But not apparently producing reports for me? --Herby talk thyme 13:55, 14 August 2015 (UTC)

It has a quirk .. and I am not sure where (see below). --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 08:58, 16 August 2015 (UTC)

no coibot in irc

gone. Not sure whether it has been caught up in the labs reboots or what. All I see is quiet.  — billinghurst sDrewth 10:26, 14 August 2015 (UTC)

Sigh .. labs .. I'll have a look as soon as I have time. --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 08:58, 16 August 2015 (UTC)

COIBot not seeing trusted users, when initiating cloak protected commands

Hi Beetstra. Trying to issue "report xwiki ...", "quickcreate ...", etc. " and other cloak protected commands to no luck. In the circumstances where COIBot talks back it is stating User wikisource/billinghurst is not in my list of trusted users. I have checked the file (present) and re-edited the file (just in case), restarted commander (successful), ... all to no avail.

COIBot is running, saving files and generally reporting, all as expected. The LiWa3 are there as _1, _2 and _4. There are 871 files in backlog, and that is slowly growing. So something seems a little askew. Thanks.  — billinghurst sDrewth 21:29, 12 December 2015 (UTC)

Sigh, something is wrong with the db. Something has been changed, bots are unresponsive altogether. --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 03:23, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
See T121094. Basically the bot has been throttled to death. --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 03:33, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
Thx. You will see that James commented. He did get some extra commentary from me about the lack of outreach, among a few lesser points. He said that he will follow up.  — billinghurst sDrewth 05:12, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
Outreach from WMF? .. where did I complain about that before .. --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 05:39, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
@Billinghurst: I've killed the Analysers - so nothing goes into the db, all goes into the analyser queue now. As long as there is one connection, the db is further quite useless probably. I presume that it is a faulty query or a missing index that is the problem, but ... --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 11:29, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
OK, LiWa3 is now really dead.  :-( --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 11:37, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
User:COIBot/XWiki/autos.groups.yahoo.com was in a loop.  — billinghurst sDrewth 11:39, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
@Billinghurst: Whatever, I've taken COIBot, LiWa3 and XLinkBot offline, and have replied to the Phabricator with an angry remark. This is not the friggin' first time that they (last time it was the devs) do things without announcing it, and it takes me hours and hours to take them back on. First shoot, then ask questions seems to be a WMF motto. The databases will run just fine if bot operators will choose to use another place to run them. You've got a spare server in your basement? --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 11:51, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
