Global block appeal edit

Unblock request declined

Request reason: I am doing a global unblock request as I was blocked on 3 projects(enwiki was part of a /60 rangeblock, but 16 /60 ranges exist in a /56 range), and on Wikidata I was in the middle of proposing a policy when I got gblocked and would like to be unblocked as I am helping people on Wikidata who are brought to WD: AN. If I did have editing problems on Wikidata, an admin there could always block me, no one did, cause my contribs there were fine.2600:387:5:80D:0:0:0:1E 17:25, 23 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason: For global block, see Tks4Fish comments. Stewards aren't lifting it. For meta block, see my comments, I had changed to permitting account creation from this range and this is the most I could agree to. If you think this is unjust, feel free to request unblock again and I will leave to another admin to review (with the note that I oppose unblocking due to high level of abuse from this range).Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 11:20, 24 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Tks4Fish: if you got this message I want you to know that this is prejudice. Other blocks have nothing to do with me. Just saying. 2600:387:5:80D:0:0:0:1E 19:58, 23 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Camouflaged Mirage: also note that by blocking me, this is my only means of appeal. If it is denied and TPA is revoked, I have no way to edit any Wiki for a month.

Regards,

As you said, you were blocked in three projects. That's enough disruption to warrant a global block. You are not forbidden, however, from requesting an account, or creating it on a different device. If any Wikidata admin wants, they can disable the block locally, but the global one is going to stay, as there's no indication this range won't be abused again. —Thanks for the fish! talkcontribs 20:23, 23 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Tks4Fish: thanks for letting me know, I guess(not really my fault.) hopefully my appeal gets reviewed soon. But how will I get them to disable it if my TPA is revoked due to the gblock? Also, how come you blocked the /56, when clearly it has 256 /64 ranges in itself, and not a /60, like ToBeFree’s rangeblock on enwiki?2600:387:5:80D:0:0:0:1E 22:07, 23 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Since I am pinged, with this level of abuse, I am not confident for this range to be unblocked on meta per say. I can, however, alter the block settings to not prevent account creation (which I will do so). The TPA is not revoked unless in abuse. I think this is the best I can alter the block settings. This is also a block per global block, the only possibility for me to lift the block is that the abuse here and globally cease for a period of time. Actually the right way to address this is to email the stewards, stewards wikimedia org and stop putting in local unblock requests. This has been said to you multiple times, so get to and do it. Please stop using unblock requests which are for local blocks only.  — billinghurst sDrewth 15:24, 24 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
