The contest involves the translation of at least 16 articles into at least 16 local and international languages. The articles to be translated will be the biographies of African women of at least B quality (preferably higher quality). The idea is to translate each article into at least 16 languages. The list of language can be, but are not limited to:

  • International languages: Arabic, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, German
  • African languages: Akan, Afrikaans (af), Igbo, Hausa, Wolof, Tswana, Zulu, Xhosa, Shona, Swahili (sw), Yoruba (yo), Sudanese, Amharic (am), Tsonga, Ewe, Sesotho, Chichewa,

List of propositions edit

(goal : 16 articles of at least B quality level, preferably higher)

Here are my nominations in English Wikipedia (these are based as trailblazers and activists contemporary and historic). Some of them are not of the best quality, I know. But thinking of their value to women across the continent:

Petscan queries

Sister Challenge in the CEE Region edit

Hello, I'd like to "advertise" a sister challenge that is taking place from 20 April to 30 May: 100wikidays/CEE women. Don't panic, no need to make 100 wikidays for CEE women only, also no need to actually write 100 articles, I ask for at least 10 articles in the next 40 days. And there will be a supercool prize... go and check the page... ;) Spiritia 06:35, 21 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
