Unblock and Unprotect User Talk Page Request/Review

The following discussion is closed: We can't do anything about that here.

I've been blocked on Wikipedia

See [1] for more details.

I believe that this block is inappropriate

The block was placed because of an association between my IP address range and that of a vandal "grawp", and abusing multiple accounts
I have not participated in vandalism. See [2]
I have not used multiple accounts. I don't know of how to prove this but I believe there is insufficient reason to believe that this has occurred.
  1. None of the accounts blocked have engaged in "Voting and other shows of support". My account has not participated in any debates. None of the accounts blocked have participated in debate.[3], [4], [5], [6]
  2. None of the accounts blocked have been used in "Circumventing policy". For example, none of the accounts blocked have edited the same articles. See [7], [8], [9], [10], [11]
  3. None of the accounts blocked have acted as "Meatpuppets". None of the accounts blocked have edited the same articles. [12], [13], [14], [15]

I have not committed vandalism. I have not pasted "a browser crashing goodbye message". I have not moved any pages. I have had multiple constructive edits to Wikipedia. I have patiently participated in discussion and fulfilled a request by an administrator to post a photograph to confirm the legitimacy of my image contributions. There continues to be no reason to believe that I am the offending vandal.

I also believe that Wikipedia Administrators have acted inappropriately in handling the problem

Wikipedia Administrators have taken steps to prevent me from communicating within Wikipedia about the problem
  1. Because of the block I cannot post on the Wikipedia Administrators' Notice Board
  2. My user talk page has been protected so I am unable to use the appeal template [16]
Wikipedia Administrators have failed to follow the letter and the spirit of the blocking policy
  1. No effort was made to "educate the user"
  2. No "reasonable opportunity" was given before blocking.
  3. No administrator had participated in a discussion.
  4. Neither Persian Poet Gal nor Krimpet (blocking administrators) supplied a clear and specific reason for blocking.
  5. "Grawp" does not appear in easily accessible wikipedia pages, it is "jargon"
  6. Neither Persian Poet Gal nor Krimpet notified "users when blocking them by leaving a message on their user talk page". Numerous templates are available for this purpose

Note: since this post was first written Persian Poet Gal has made some attempt to address the issue. Ichthyosis 06:08, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, but Meta does not have control over the English Wikipedia. You will have to resolve your dispute on that project. Nakon 06:09, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Any advice? opinion on the matter?Ichthyosis 06:15, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

We don't have control over other projects. You will have to resolve it over there. You can try their unblock mailing list Nakon 06:37, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Unprotection request

The following discussion is closed: done

Please unprotect User talk:MBisanz. The vandal has stopped following me from wiki to wiki and I believe the page will become more used due to the upcoming election. MBisanz 20:04, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

There is a typo in the front page of www.wikiquote.org. I have followed the instructions given here and have changed the template/temp. Can someone please use it to update the real template? For more info see this discussion page. --212.7.64.228 10:38, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
