When I want to translated this recently, I met "Saving the translation failed: You're not allowed to edit interface messages". I enjoy translating here and want to do some ground work about translating. Thanks, --Rhong Fu talk 11:16, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Currently only admins can translate workflow states, but everything else can be translated by everyone (well, admins have to approve CN and there may be a few protected pages or something). Just follow the instructions:
- This message group shows the translation workflow states.
- The states are defined in the configuration variable $wgTranslateWorkflowStates. You have to be an administrator to make translations for this group. This issue will hopefully be resolved soon, in the mean time please create a new section at Meta:Requests for help from a sysop or bureaucrat, posting both the English and the translated language versions, linking to where an admin can update the translation. Thank you!

- Question, is this for regular Adminship or for temporary Admin one? Because I see this request on Regular Adminship section.--AldNonUcallin?☎ 19:39, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Regular adminship, it seems. PiRSquared17 (talk) 20:03, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Err... I think he place them there by mistake, this kind of admin rationale usually for Temp Adminship, regards.--AldNonUcallin?☎ 20:15, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- When translate or update other interface messages, does it require the admin right?--Rhong Fu talk 12:54, 4 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- This is likely the only one that you can translate, but I'm not 100% sure. Why not just request the translations on RFH? I don't think there are (m)any other translatable interface messages except the sidebar (mediawiki:wikimediaForum-text, etc.). PiRSquared17 (talk) 15:48, 4 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Thank you. I think it is a good idea.--Rhong Fu talk 08:28, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Translations added and published. --Glaisher [talk] 09:00, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- @Rundl132: Do you still need adminship? If so, should it be temporary or regular? PiRSquared17 (talk) 10:22, 8 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- @PiRSquared17: I think What I need should be translation administrator. Please see the problems which I'm encountering. Thank you.--Rhong Fu talk 15:29, 8 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
