I've been working on the spam blacklist recently, and was urged on more than one occasion to "get the sysopbit already!" The impetus for doing it right now was I was going to edit a (very long) protected archive page, and it took forever to load, and then I hit edit and it took forever again, only to not be able to edit the page (grrrrr!) So here I am.

Now the info you really care about: I am already sysop & CU at en.wikibooks, where I am highly active. I'm also sysop at Commons. I had OTRS access granted only last week. I am active on many wikis dealing with spam/vandalism. I am reasonable, unlikely to go on a rampage, etc. I think I've shown that I can put the buttons to good use, and I hope I'm trusted enough to welcome to the team.

I wouldn't ask if I thought it'd be too much, and I would relinquish any additional tools I might stop using. Support Capable cross wiki admin. Mike does have things to learn (as we all do) however he has learnt much in the time I have known him. I missed supporting him on en wb some time back because I didn't know him well enough - I know him better now. Mike is hard working & helpful - equally he is prepared to actually do work on the blacklist - I for one appreciate that.
